I'm really not sure tbh Marcelo, but he wasn't there at pre-season testing for sure, maybe he was there at Australia?

Fantastic race by Mercedes today. I liked how they waited as late as possible under VSC so Ferrari couldn't pit under similar conditions and also how they used Bottas to hold up Vettel. I would have also put Bottas on the softs in stint 2 so Vettel would come out behind him again, but this became academic with the VSC and Bottas' retirement.

Hamilton and Vettel were both flawless today and clearly the class of the field. The fact they can now go flat out really adds to the race I feel. They all sounded exhausted over the radio as well. Singapore and Malaysia are going to be interesting.

I think he started working by first race. But not sure, I think Mercedes waived the gardening leave just for Williams.

I've started watching races without the distractions during the race. I find I enjoy it more to come on and read after.

I almost wanna say grosjean deserves penalty points on his license for what he did in lap 1 but honestly I think he would’ve collected at least one car no matter what he did. Obviously not spinning up his tyres and smoke screening everyone would’ve at least given the other drivers a chance to dodge but there was Ocon and Vandoorne also on the outside line who could’ve hit him had he not done so.

Still, that Haas looks ridiculously rear-end lively doesn’t it? I don’t see Magnussen having these traction issues.

Penalty points? He deserves nothing less than a race ban. I've never seen anything like this before. It doesn't matter that Ocon and Vandoorne were on the outside, they had him in sight and it was up to them to avoid Grosjean. If they didn't manage, it would have been a racing incident.

What you DON'T do in this situation is what nobody expects, i.e. floor it and throw your car right back onto the racing line and into the pack. He literally played wrecking ball here, and he clearly did in a rage. Someone like this should not be allowed to race!

So apparently there was a 80% chance of rain falling in the race :P
