Does your name (first/last) ever get mispronunciations by anyone? (heard of, known of)
And for example, I wonder how do you pronounce "João Monteiro"? (for non-Portuguese speakers).

In GPRO forums I'm sometimes called Santtu, almost always called Santu and rarely someone decides to call me "Santa"... But in real life finnish language is very hard to mispronunciate... Unless you're not from Finland ahha.

Tip: If someone's name has those weird äöü letters and you can't/don't want to write them, put aou instead - do not write the name without them!

It would be good if those with difficult to pronounce names could explain how they should be spoken.

My surname always gets misspelt like Gionatis or Gionitis in GPRO forums. That is a bit annoying.

Dutch names are quite hard... Every Finnish commentator pronounces names like Dirk Kuyt or Wesley Sneijder differently and people here are arguing about the correct pronounciation... which no-one really knows... :/

In Dutch you pronounce the 'p' very clear.

I'm wrong then. Is the "W" pronounced like the W in Wesley, or like the V in Van? And does the "ke" sound like the "cu" in Cut, or the "ke" in Key?

Edit; this could take a long time with some of the names on GPRO :\

English speaking people more or less always spell my name Frederick or something similar.

Fredrik -
The e should be proununced like the ee in beer :)
The last part isn't ment to be proununced as "rick". If it should be, it would definitly be spelled with a C.
The correct pronunciation of "rik" should be somethign similar to "reek" in the word creek.

I would pronunce Zara and Sarah the same way, even Sara would be the same pronunciation in english for me.
The sweedish way to pronunce Sara is more similar to "Saara", the first A is longer then the second A.

People commonly mis-spell my surname Laurence, which looks French in my opinion.
This is probably as my surname isn't pronounced with Law at the start (as in words like law, lawful, etc.), but as Lor (as in lord, floor).
