Nay! Regin wrought this, rogue and master!

O son of Sigmund! sooth I tell thee:

my guarded gold gleams with evil,

bale it bringeth to both my foes.

It is said there is no more fearsome a foe in the world than a dragon. It can cleave shields and weapons with its claws, no mail can protect against its bite, it breathes fire and weaves mighty spells.

Yet, you have done it. A brave band of heroes, trodden the hidden paths and entered the beast's demesne. And you have defeated your foe, a heroic act that will be sung by the bards for many years.

All that remains is to divide the wyrm's great treasure of gold, gems, and mighty artifacts and return back to civilized lands. This should be easy for a band like yours.

Yet, a fire burns in some of your hearts. The fire of avarice and greed. Why share this treasure with so many. Surely, the road home is a dangerous one and what if an accident should befall some of your companions during the night.

So perhaps the most fearsome foe of man is man himself...

General Rules:
1. Every player must follow the rules posted here
2. I reserve the right to remove players from the game if I feel their behaviour is having a negative effect on the game.
3. Every player is expected to post at least 1 useful posts a day, excluding weekends, or if they Pm telling me about their absence. "Yeah, I agree LOL!!!11!111!" is not a useful post
4. Disobeying rules gets you a strike. 3 strikes and you're out.
5. Extreme rule-breaking can result in immediate removal from the game.
6. My decision is final!
7. If you disagree with my decision, Rule 6 (General) applies.
8. To join, send me a PM saying that you want to join

Gameplay rules:
1. Playes can vote by posting ##vote in the thread.
2. Votes not written as in Rule 1 won't count.
3. The Player with most votes at deadline is lynched
4. It is allowed to vote for No Lynch.
5. In the case of a tie, a random draw decides it.
6. "Breaking the spirit of the game" is classified as extreme-rule breaking.
7. Dead players can't talk, once dead.
8. Please could people not involved in the game not post in the thread.
9. Quoting Role PM's is forbidden (and useless)
10. Only players whos Role PM tell them so may talk at night, between each other. If I can reasonably believe you break this rule, then Rule 6 (Gameplay) applies.

Additional Rules:
1. This game contains four magical items, which impact the game.
These are:
- An enchanted sword: Whoever possesses this gets +1 vote in all decisions.
- A magic suit of armor: To lynch the wearer of this armor, one additional vote is required.
- An invisibility cloak: The wearer of this cloak may once during the game decide to use its magical power to turn invisible for 1 entire Game Day and Night. During this time, no one may target the wearer with night abilities and the person cannot be lynched. Once used, it crumbles to dust.
- A magic potion: If the person in possession of this potion gets night killed, he/she may drink the potion to avoid dying.

The magic items are distributed by voting among the players (and must be distributed before the first lynch, or they are lost in the ensuing chaos). Once given to a player, they can only be taken from the player if he/she is dead or allows it.

Why do you want to eat my dragon? Can't you just eat one of the other players? Cannibalism is not against the law, although it is frowned upon. You guys don't care what other people think though, do you? ;p

I will not allow you to disrespect the burial rituals of my dragon. He will not be cremated, barbecued, or even grilled, so unless you are planning on eating him raw then I suggest you find some other food source.

Bruno, how do we go about allocating the special items?
In thread or by PM?
Format?
Can the same player get multiple items?

We all know its you, specially after you thumbs downed me pointing out your scum slip, but not actually bothering to ask how you slipped, although you probably know that anyway.

Anyway, whilst I would love to speed lynch someone for the sheer fun of it, we are not at that point of the game yet.

Frankly, looking at the list of players, there is no one that I would trust to hold any of the objects, the experienced players being too dangerous, and the noobs being too easily led.

Why did you mention trust Gordon? Surely, as town, there should no-one that you could trust to give an item to other than yourself...?

Not a question of trust exactly, but looking at the list doesnt not fill me with confidence that it would be safe or worthwhile to give any of the items to anyone.

Some players would 'waste' the ability given to them (through misunderstanding its use or simply being too inactive to use it usefully) whilst others (me included) would be too dangerous to give any extra ability to.

Is there anyone who is in a middle ground between these two extremes, the answer is almost certainly a yes, but I dont feel comfortable giving the likes of Alin, Jeff etc extra things just because they are the least bad choice, even though that is the most likely scenario.

Magic potion looks to be the only item not very useful to scum, so is the least risky allocation.

I guess we need to weigh up whether we would prefer to allocate the other items to strong players who can make the most of it if they are town, but run the risk of it being in the hands of a strong scum player, or allocate to weaker players who will be relatively harmless if they are scum.
