As much as I enjoyed Bulgaria, I'm not pro doing a country 2 years in a row...there are plenty of other places to explore and others who want to host :)

May I remind you that you have unfinished business in The Purgatory? :)

...probably exactly why he doesn't want to come back :P

We can do the seaside if you want to repeat Bulgaria. Anyone up for Varna or Bourgas? :D

I'm game for all options apart from Sydney, a bit too far and I'm planning on taking the Mrs to Sydney in a couple years though.
Poland would be awesome.

My vote is for Poland if @Sebastian Jóźwiak (P25) is definitely up for hosting! Finland too as I love to visit the Scandi countries at some point :P
Otherwise, may we throw Singapore out there? @Kai Wen Chew (E) :P

Quote ( Jun Ho @ September 12th 2023,18:46:33 ) Scandi countries at some point :P
Is Finland a "Scandi" country though?
I am going to vote for "price" this trip, so Singapore, Sydney etc will get a pass from me, sorry :D . Romania and Poland are good, Finland is only good because it is close to me.

Haha lol - @Vladimir Alexandrov (R3) that's just for you and me to go back there ;)
Poland or Finland ftw...though deffo up for another Bulgarian one in a few years time! :)

Actually I think part of Finland lays in Scandinavic Peninsula, so it's not a big mistake to call it Scandi country :)

And the Kingdom of Denmark is the third largest country in North America... very debatable, which is why I did not make any claims and just asked the question :D. Close enough for Jun I am sure.
No to Sydney, I would like to not be in debt, no to Singapore, which seems cheaper, but still way too far away.
Brasov is 50/50, because I can't find good flights there yet.
Finland means I would probably need to bring my own booze (which is not hard).
Bulgaria - Loved the trip to bits, but... not in summer for a while, my foot still has not fully healed from the blisters I got from mosquito bites. Also everyone in my country has been to "Sunny beach" or something like that, so it appeals less to me because of it, I would rather do some more cave exploring with Vlad, where he tries to sacrifice me for the survival of the group every couple of hours or so again.
Poland could be a proper low budget meeting, I found a bus ticket to Warsaw for 22€.
I am not broke, but I got old enough to start thinking about saving for retirement :D .
I am leaning towards Poland HARD right now. Every random small town has got some crazy long history there from my drive-through experience (and that is my only experience of Poland so far).
Finland would be cheaper to do a cruise to Helsinki and back again every night instead of booking a hotel there...

Poland v Finland for me right now :)

Get a 6 month cruise from Estonia to Singapore :P
Now thats a good excuse to get out of work

Quote ( Jukka Sireni @ September 11th 2023,22:41:36 ) It's summer Olympics, so part of my holiday is reserved for those. But at least the weekend before that (21.7, should be Hungary) could be good (both for hosting or coming to Poland). On karting, I think the best options in Helsinki would be
I do want to have the honor of getting Jukka slightly drunk again, so I have to take this into account.
Early to say for my dates, but June 21-23 Spain Barcelona weekend will probably be good for me. Also August 23-25 Netherlands Zandvoort is very promising.
In the end if we are doing Poland/Finland it is close enough, that vacations do not matter personally. Romania though - that requires a holiday from work.
Every other location will require early vacation scheming.

In practice, we can replace Brasov with Bucharest. It's definitely easier to get there. Depending on what you choose, I will comply. But if you want to go to Bucharest, I would prefer to know in advance.

TBH getting to Brasov from Bucharest isn't that bad. Romania is easiest for me for sure, but I have cheap flights to Poland too. Any other locations in consideration?

Are you drunk?

Finland (Jukka), Poland (Seb), Romania (Liviu) seem the likely ones this time - at some point we'll get the hosts to put forward their plans and vote on them like last time I'm sure :)
EDIT - Question mark removed; Seb is in! :P
|
|
|
Yeah, I'm still willing to host somewhere in Poland, no need for the question mark :P
