Now from the start of the season I decided to negotiate with 2 sponsors, but one pulled back after a few races, even though I finished all races on the podium and selected top 4 expectation, so I continued with the other sponsor and selected the same expectation, but that one pulled back too?

Is this a measurement so that its harder to get sponsors in Rookie so that there is more parity or is there another reason, like that at the time the expectations weren't so realistic?

A sponsor pulling back from a negotiation or cancelling an active contract are both situations directly related to the way you negotiated the contract with the sponsor

What about race 2 and 5 you didn't finish on the podium?

Yeah, but the first sponsor pulled back after race 3, and the other one pulled back after this race. Maybe it was because the season standings were really close?

Should I then select mid table, even though I have a good chance of finishing in the top 4? I guess the non podiums finishes could have something to do with it.

@Sion, yeah I read that but that doesn't really help me, lol.

Have a closer look at the sponsors stats. That may give you an answer to your question as well as how to possibly proceed in future.

Perhaps the sponsor didn't necessarily look for top 4 expectation?

And i said it.

All depends on the characteristics of the sponsor and your answers to the questions, And that is something you have to FIND OUT BY YOURSELF or with a team :)

Yeah, I think I interpreted the expectations field wrong, but I think I figured it out. Lower expectations doesn't mean less pressure to finish in a good position, just that they actually don't look for a high position.

So Ill go for a sponsor with higher expectations.

I'll give you a hint, look at their expectation level. If it's high and you say something you aren't acheiving they will wave goodbye.

Martin, don't give them the perfect answers. Give them the answers they want to hear by looking at their characteristics. An example is if a sponsor has the lowest expectations then why would you tell him that you're gonna be the world champion.

Other attributes can indicate clues to answering other questions.

This is the lead to follow. Great insight, without any big FOBY involved.

Maybe some 1 or ready signed the deal ?

You would know that from comparing your own progress with the avg. progress.

Suppose you are at 20% and avg. is 55%. Again, suppose it's you and another guy. This means: avg x 2 = 55 x 2 = 110. Then, 110 - your own progress (20%) = 90%, that should be the progress of the other manager.

If one or two races ahead the sponsors quits, it's likely that the other manager might have signed the deal. Of course, it may be hard to find out how many manager are negotiating at one time it you dont do a very close follow up on this and takes notes of the avg. progress before and after you joined the negotiation

If the sponsor signs a deal, they tell you and who it is they signed with.

If you don't get that, then you have to look at other things that may have caused them to stop negotiating with you. Some good clues and advice in this thread.

The sponsor characteristics are very misleading. As far as I look at them seems like when it's red and less sticks it should be worse for me and green better. So 1 Red stick at expectations mean the sponsor expects a lot ant full green doesn't expect anything. But it's so hard to comprehend when you look at these like Reputation should be the other way the more green sticks bigger reputation less smaller. I just cannot understand how it works.
