My suggestion is for an enhancement to the mailing section. I would like to have the ability to mark the mail I am sending as urgent, in order that the recipient of the mail, can pick out those that are marked as such, and deal with them accordingly. Hopefully it won't be a difficult thing implement, and it should help those who mark their mails such, to get the urgent help they may be asking for....:)

I always think that an email notification should be sent for mails which haven't been read for a while, you could be waiting for a mail from someone but don't want to sit at your screen all day waiting for it

I have never quite understood the whole "urgent" tag applied to messages by the sender.
They are often overused in such things as e-mails, and quickly lose any kind of relevance (in fact I have been in situations where the tag was used to such an extent that they began to have the opposite effect.... those people who tagged things as urgent obviously couldn't prioritize, and therefore I typically dismissed their messages until a time I had nothing else to do).
Messages have a title, which should be used to briefly describe the content of the message. If you are unable to convey the importance of an urgent message in a single sentence, what makes you think some sort of tag saying the message is urgent is going to do any better?
I get extremely aggravated sometimes at folks who are utterly lacking in any kind of communication skills, and must use all these symbols, colors and tags in some attempt at conveying the message they are trying to send.

The only emails, messages i ever ignore are the ones that start. "Hello my friend, My late father who was ruler of the known universe has left me 100 billion dollars in a bank out"...etc etc.

Sorry Chris but what Mikko says is what I actually do so I wouldn't consider it sarcasm.
No objection from me about your suggestion but Daniel makes a very good point about overuse and I personally find starting the title URGENT gets people's attention anymore than, for example, a red flag would.

Would hate the idea. What you think is important is not what the receiver may see as important. As Daniel has said, the use of "urgent" tags on an email is irritating and more likely to see me ignore it than come to it first.

Someone should probably point out that this is a game..... so no emails here are actually really urgent are they?
Unless you're a surgeon and use this game to be notified of urgent open heart surgery?

It's all relative. For some of us that aren't heart surgeons 'just game' stuff can be urgent. If you're a superhero who saves the whole world on a regular basis then calls to the OR to save one dying patient probably count as spam

There are people in my organisation who absolutely would, when tasked with arranging life saving surgery for someone, send an email to the surgeon (or the person they assumed was the surgeon) with an urgent flag. And that would be it.
When nothing happened & someone died they would genuinely be of the belief that a read receipt or CCing their boss in would exonerate them of all responsibility.

The idea would be good only if people used it which they would not :)
A company I used to work for had a logging system for faults and you had to rate the importance from 1-5(5 being the highest importance).
Unsurprisingly nearly every fault logged was marked a 5 due to the person at the time being impacted so felt it was of the highest importance, when in reality it was not :)
What's important to 1 person is not to another
So that's why I think it would be pointless and also Mikko has already given a solution if you truly feel the need :)

I'll be the person that decides whether the mail I receive is important. If this were added, any fricking annoying shit like this would be automatically deleted without being opened; that would teach other people that think their view is more important than mine.
