The last race Nurburgring, I had a random puncture on lap 2. Which is fine, as in real racing randoms need to be taken into account.
Although for that race my strategy was very tight, i was running the tyres to the limit with just enough fuel.
My race strategy planned for 2 pitstops around laps 20 & 40. If my calculations were wrong I had allowed for a third with only 20L of fuel to see me to the end of the race.
Due to the random puncture, that first pitstop on lap two then completely messed up this strategy and caused me to pit 3 times in the last 15 laps.
Would there be anyway of allowing for a random pitstop on the race strategy screen? Therefore, due to the random, it wouldn't be counted as a race strategy pitstop!
Which option ideally would be, "Don't refuel when pitting for a technical problem, unless less than [ X ] liters are remaining". Just like the problems occur -> don't enter pit if more than are remaining, but a bit reversed so that it keeps the same direction it has now.
PS: I am sure this has been suggested countless times. But... just sayin'...
