Manila to Davao - sure!
Clay to Hard - maybe not this time.
Not all locations must be world capitals, especially some of the 100s take place in relatively smaller places. And Davao City is a household name in the Players' Cup so if the only Filipino player of this game has a suggestion like this, I'm willing to listen.
I don't want to imbalance the surfaces, for now I think they are fine. Davao is known for hardcourt, so if you don't want just the name to change (but not the surface), let me know.

A full house was presented for the penultimate tournament of the year and everyone was motivated to finish the season with a win, even if not in Sofia but in the traditional hardcourt arena. 19 points were more than enough in all but one Quarterfinals - Nate Lung predicted well that he needed to go big... but Alan Halford also sent him home. Halford played Shannon Fuerte next who was in the best shape after the first round and left himself no less than three points while beating the Welshman. A much closer match was won by Richard Robin Paukson against another Welshman Keith Partridge but there was no winning strategy against Fuerte. The Filipino wins his second title, 13 months after the first one, fittingly another hardcourt 250.

The heroic effort is denied by the former winners, Mauritius are the Season 5 Players' Cup Champions! The second ever Mauritius-Singapore final ended with the same winner as the first one. Two seasons ago, Singapore were 1 Skill behind and won 0.5 points thanks to a tie. Now the margin was twice as big, yet the Singaporeans won a match in the Final. Mauritius won their second Players' Cup title, equaling Ghana, there are still only two countries who can say then won the Cup themselves. Will this change as the new era begins? How do you lose a set 8-7 and turn the match around?! John Ibbotson finds a way to win a nail biter against Greg Tierney to advance to his second GBT Finals, keeping his second championship hopes alive. In the other half, Lyee Chong also defeats defending champion Chew Kai Wen. So for the second time in a row, the final match of the season decides who's going to be the Year-End No.1. Either John Ibbotson for the second time (becoming the first person to win two GBT championships), or Lyee Chong for the first time.
The rule changes won't allow players to reach 21 Clay Skill unless someone they are the defending champion. So enjoy the final match where both sides are able to spend 21 Clay Points... and fittingly, the sides are the two most dominant players on clay and one of them is about to become the winner of GBT Season 5. The streak nearly continued. After four different Year-End No.1s, 3 out of 4 contenders have never been Champions. Tom Byrne and Grant Crouch were eliminated after the first round but Lyee Chong (following a replay), advanced to the Final. His opponent was John Ibbotson, Champion of Season 3, and the two played a decider match for the Season 5 win. Following two epic sets, which were won 8-7, Englishman John Ibbotson became the first player to win two seasons of the GPRO Bracket Tour. No championship for Lyee Chong this time, but a first Sofia Final and second place on the GBT Rankings for the first time.
Generally I don't comment on just the look of the Hall of Fame. But the similarities between now and Season 3 are remarkable: Grant and John take the second two Grands, John wins Sofia as well, Jed wins the Players' Cup for Mauritius, John is the champion.

GPRO Bracket Tour - End of Season 5

John Ibbotson is the new GBT leader (leading for the 7th month in his career). For the second year in a row, the final match of the season was a straight up decider between two sides - this time between John Ibbotson and Lyee Chong. In a perfectly equal matchup John Ibbotson beat Lyee Chong for the first time on clay and became the first player ever to win two GBT Championships. Playing just six tournaments, he still managed to win three prestigious titles, the Madrid 500, the Tokyo Grand (his third Grand), and the GBT Finals. Ibbotson won with 2550 points, just 35 points more than Chew Kai Wen, Champion of Season 4 (the lowest total ever), following a tight battle.
Lyee Chong got short of his first ever championship, he ended up with 2410 points (140 behind Ibbotson), two titles, including his first Grand title in Buenos Aires. Tom Byrne rounds off the podium following an incredibly consistent season, becoming the first ever player to win five tournaments in a season. He is just one title behind Grant Crouch, who won the Rome Grand and the London 500 in dominant fashion but only three more tournaments (and an early Sofia exit) meant the most successful player of all time needs to wait for his first title at least one more year.
The most active player of the GPRO Bracket Tour, Greg Tierney finishes another season well inside the Top 10 and although he only won one tournament, he found himself nothing to lose against the grass master Crouch in the Rome Grand Final, his first Grand Final since the very first one. Kyle Morris feels he could have gotten more out of his season but this year was the best one since his Season 1 championship run, finishing 6th with 1400 points. Surprise winner of Season 4 Chew Kai Wen spent exactly one month as the leader this time around, eventually moving down to 7th place. He and Jed Howorth moved along the same lines, with the same results, a quiet season but still a strong Top 10. Oh and don't forget Mauritius' second Players' Cup title!
The midfield is incredibly close at the moment, 9th and 16th are separated by 205 points. Richard Robin Paukson ends his third season, just like his previous two in the Top 10, just ahead of Shannon Fuerte, who is ranked 10th for the first time in his career. Keith Partridge finishes tied with Rocco Stallone and another 5 points ahead of Tokyo Finalist Nate Lung - lots of movements are expected early in Season 6! Vin Struder had a forgettable season and only finished 14th, but with three training months he (as well as most of the midfield) grabbed that extra point which will be important in the next post.
Two early titles helped Alan Halford end Season 5 as 15th with 880 points, his best year to date. Mike Baston spent more than half the year inside the Top 10 but he just couldn't save his final points of the season and is sitting 16th for the moment. This was going to be Christian Anello's silent preparation for the future seasons but the rule changes hurt him severely, at least he finally won his first two GBT titles. Mateusz Siwiński finishes 18th, his hardcourt advantage didn't pay off this year. Three players await the new season as their first full year in GBT, Dalton Courtney, Thomas Mcdonnell and Ethan Littlejohns, with two players, Tim Riddell and Thomas Upton are now retiring from the sport.

So how to play in Season 6?

- The second photo of #402 ( https://i.imgur.com/ZtXPciC.png ) shows how many Skill Points you can spend in Season 6.
- Distribute those points among Clay, Grass, Hard IN PM.
-- You can only spend a maximum of 5 points per surface
-- Example: 2 Clay, 4 Grass, 0 Hard is a valid submission you have 6 Skill Points.
-- These points are added to the Base Skill (so Example ends up with 17 Clay Skill, 24 Grass Skill, 25 Hard Skill).
- You cannot change this distribution after the deadline.
- The defending champion in each tournament gets one extra Skill for the duration of the tournament.
Doing this process in PM also confirms you for Season 6.
Deadline is Thursday 22:00, after which the Skills will be revealed and January reminders will be sent. If you fail to answer in time, you can still join GBT but you will have 2 less points (but always 4 or more) to spend.
