Hello people!
Sorry if this has been suggested before, I didn't find it in a Forum search (actually, a very quick search ...)
SUGGESTION:
When a manager went up / down of category, let the game's algorithm give preference to him to join a group where there is already 1 (and only 1) member of his team. If it is not possible to place him in a group in these conditions, then the other group allocation criteria would take effect normally.
The idea is: Any game is better if played with friends. Of course, a team with 10 players, each in a different group is already fun, but I think that if the game could put more players sharing experiences and emotions of the same race (maximum 2 team members per group), the game could be even more fun.
Mathematically, I don't know if this is possible, nor did I think about the negative effects, it's just a crude idea. Anyway, I would like to thank those who are willing to read and have all a good run without rain tomorrow :)

I like this idea. :)
Its always fun to discuss about the same race with a teammate (been fortunate to have that in both my rookie seasons after coming back) and I am really wishing that I get promoted to a group where I have a teammate. XP
Last race was especially fun because I ended up battling with my teammate for position for a while. It wasn't a real fight, we were both on different strategies but still it was fun to watch him compete with me. Really showed how much he had improved. XD

I prefer to avoid being in leagues with teammates if possible. We have several people trying for promotion this season from AMA to PRO, and in the same league it's harder because less slots for promotion

I like the idea Sandro, with friends in the game i'm sure would be great if you wanted that as your preference. As a teammate however not so much as all team members that are pushing for promotion may get in the way of each other and could lead to disagreements (that would be anything higher than rookie).

I've actually experienced being same group as a team mate.
Not as fun as advertised. More like a headache is reality with all the additional balancing have to work out with when promote, when to push etc etc... Suddenly you find yourself actually having to plan your season around somebody else, so don't screw them over.
No thanks.

Next to extra race tactics (block and let pass), sharing a group with teammates has huge benefits on the sponsor negotiation side. Lets keep those shared-group occurrences random, instead of default :)
