Hello everybody!

In the other day I had an idea about an event related to the FIFA World Cup that is about to start in the 14th of June in Russia, as many of you know.
I proposed to GPro (Hans) to create an event where I would draw cars for the 32 participant nations, based upon the kit each team will use.
The idea is that, during the FIFA World Cup, these liveries will be available in a special section of the liveries available for GPro Supporters, so that you may support your favourite team, wearing their jerseys in the game. If you are supersticious like me, I'm sure you'll be supporting your team in everyway you can!
This would be an one time event, with the duration of the World Cup Championship, for Gpro Supporters.
Hans agreed that it wouldn't be a problem to create such an event, but he suggested I opened a poll in the forum for the matter to be discussed and approved by you, the GPro Community.
So I got my hands into the "dirt" and I drawed all the 32 cars based upon the Home kit of each team. I may be able to do the other 32 cars based upon the Away kit also, but I can't promisse you the deliever on those, as time is running short and, as you can imagine, it's not easy to mass produce 32 cars in such a short timetable, with home and wife to take care of.
With this event, my intention is to improve your Gpro experience, giving you fresh and up-to-date events for the community, as well to support the game and the teams in the FIFA World Cup. I know some teams won't have a significant representation in Gpro but I also think that, by respect and for it to be a pretty event, all of them should have representation.

Also, if this idea goes ahead, I have the intention to create a competition based upon both the results of the World Cup and Gpro. Basically, I think it's possible to open a contest where the managers would have to sign in, tell their group and the team they believe it will win the FIFA World Cup (note: Not necessarly the team you support or the country where you are from). Then, those Managers would get points based upon their positions in each race that would only count if they are wearing the Event liverie, in this case, it could be the liverie of the team they support and not the one they bet it would win. All liveries have a little mention to the Russian World Cup in the bottom right and that would be the identifier.
The prizes would be:
-First place for the Driver with most points that bets on the World Cup winner.
-Second place for the Driver with most points that bets on the World Cup Runner-up.
- Third place for the Driver with most points that bets on the Third place in the World Cup.
I think it would be a fun matchup of the two sports and I'm open to suggestions until I decide exactly how this would play out and how much the prizes will be (I have an idea but I don't want to influence the voting). I'm still thinking on how to do this and how to control it flawless so it would be fair for every participant. More details ahead if and when it all takes place. This part wasn't discussed with GPro and I'm willing to do it on a personal level.

Enough talk. Here are the liveries for each of the 32 teams:

All cars are based upon the kit that each team will use in this 2018 World Cup in Russia and not in the teams flags or any other thing out of what they will wear in the field. That's why I hope I have time to do the Away Equipment also, because there are some pretty awesome kits in this World Cup.

Now, please tell me and GPro, what you think of this idea, if you like it or not, if you think it's cool, if you really dislike it because it has little to do with racing, if you'd like to see it happen more times (dinamic events of this kind) or if you don't care at all for it.

Please vote in the poll. The results will be annouced after finish and final converstation with GPro (Hans).

Thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy my motivation to keep this community strong, and if not, I do respect your opinion nevertheless.

If you don't speak english, please use google translator and talk also with your countymen about this idea so they can understand and vote also.

Cheers!

Very nice and a huge commitment from you, thank you. Some smart looking liveries in there.

Now... do I open a thread.. complaining about No Canadian kit? ;) (not a chance)

I would try it depending on the time commitment.

I'm just doing the best I can. If anyone wants to step up into helping, I would also be very appreciated. Specially for the contest, either being to help control it, or help raise the prize.

As for the liveries, I would really like to have those other 32 away kits, but I understand it's alot of extra work for me and Hans, so I will do it at slower pace and make it happen if it all fits well with Hans too. I don't want to take his time away from other needs he may have, as personal liveries and livery market.

In the end, I believe I'll be able to deliever but I can't really promise and I hate to miss with my word. As these 32 are enough for it all to take place, first big stone is settled.

If anyone is curious, it took me a week to do these 32, but I know I'll have less time in this half month so it will probably take me more time to do the rest.

Think is an absolute fantastic idea,i support it completely....the only draw back of it,is that some people from countrys that are not participating can feel left outside and its not nice.Even if that happens,it would still be a fantastic idea as its just for the Wc and only a month. It would be good if all countrys have their livery, but i supose thats impossible for the work involved....Also, very good job in Uruguays livery, its really nice and representative...

the only draw back of it,is that some people from countrys that are not participating can feel left outside and its not nice.

As for the World Cup itself, there's nothing I can do about that. There are "only" 32 nations qualified for the final stage and those are obviously the ones in need for support.
As for the contest, I think I have the solution for that since anyone can bet on any team and they don't even have to race with that specific team livery, as long they drive with one of the 32 liveries available.

The ideia of a referees liverie is nice too. That could be a neutral liverie that would also count for the contest itself. But at the same time, it would make alot more sense to run with the liverie of the team you've bet on to win, in those cases where you don't have your national team competing.

I'm not trying to turn the track into a football field, otherwise, Hans would kill me and leave for dead. I'm just matching up both sports in this special occasion, so that GPro itself takes a ride in the enthusiastic wave of the supporters, and so that we, the supporters, express our fandom in this game that we play so devotly. It's just another way of community interaction. In the end, you still have to race, no matter what! ;)

Thank you for the compliment about the Uruguay liverie, it's a very awesome kit they have! Unfortunatly, although it does have the stamped sun of the t-shirt in the livery, being faithfull to the colours means that it's not that much visible, but trust me, it's there! ;) All kits are faithfull representations of each country kit. Small mistakes here and there, perhaps, but I did reconstructed alot of national federation logos just because they updated or changed colours for this competition.

I think that as soon as the competition starts and the jerseys become more known to all, the more value will these cars have because you'll be able to trully identify the strong points in it.
The Island, Peru, Japan, Senegal, Uruguay and a few more, are the kits I find more beautifull. I think Puma did some awesome kits, some of the nike's are very nice too. Curiously, there are 5 brands in this world cup and the best kits are probably from the smaller ones. My opinion, of course.

Cheers.

There's a possibiliy that some of these liveries may end up in the livery market. It pretty much all depends on what the community asks and needs.
I did mention to Hans that maybe the most used ones could go to the livery market.

As for the Uruguay one and having it in your team, there are two solutions.
Either make a new one, exactly the same but without the logo of the worlc cup that you can ask for Hans to update in your profile, or one of you wins the prize and shares it with the team. If I'm the only one giving credits for it, it may not be a huge prize, good but not huge, if anyone steps up to increase the amount, it may become something special.

Your team has 3 supporters, only 3 to go! ;)
