We are still recruiting and accepting applications. You do not need to join the team now, we can agree switching teams over midseason break as well if that is the only reason you are not applying now.
Some more fun facts about the team:
- over the last 18 seasons or 3 years only 1 manager has left Scirocco for an other team and that team was Tiger Racing. The rest unfortunately have stopped playing at some point of time. I think this is a strong point for the team loyalty and no drama environment that is there and why we have so extremely low churn rate for other teams
- we will not guarantee your success to Masters or Elite or will not play or force you to play in a certain way as some teams do. We know the game can be played in multiple ways while achieving relatively the same results and will help you if you will need help / opinion to succeed with the plans that you have

Anyway back on topic.
We have a place in Scirocco opening up due to a member leaving the game.
We are a friendly bunch with active forum and Discord channel.
we have some nice tools, and bags of information and knowledge, which could help you transform your game.
We don't do drama, and falling out. It's a really nice place to be (that's why we keep coming back to stay)
if you are :-
English speaking
friendly
any level with good game activity.
rookie to elite all considered
supporters status preferred but not essential.
motivation and game activity are the most important here, so if you're looking to progress, this could be for you.
Send a message to Aigars, Finn, Helmer or Myself, or anyone in the team if you prefer and are interested.

You may have noticed our team leader took a step down to Tigers. We wish him every success in restoring them to their former glory.
That means we have a spot free, and it's a rare opportunity to join the team that finished 19th last season and hasn't won anything in it's 75 season history. If you're interested in changing this, or are just a born loser, consider dropping us a message.
Tell us whatever you want, and I'll tell you what you want to hear. I should warn you, most of them are middle aged with kids, so if you know how to change a nappy this is the team for you.
There's no deadline at this stage, although if someone blows us away before race 1 then that would be perfect. You can be as experienced or inexperienced as you like, we don't recruit on talent or personality alone. Although obviously the most successful managers are incredibly boring, so if you are good enough we'll ignore the lack of personality.
Just send me a message, or someone else if you don't like me. Perhaps tell us a bit about yourself and we'll have a chat if we want to take things further!

You present level is not of importance to us as long as you are actively trying to learn and improve, something we have plenty of experience to help with. Seasoned players are of course also welcome to apply.

We're looking for players who understand the nature of this game and what it is: it's leisure, we're logging in to enjoy ourselves with this hobby, and with equal effort amongst teammates, you can achieve success both individually & with your teammates/friends.
For this spot,
Requirements to Join: it's suitable if you fit this description:
✅ Must have scored a substantial number of points if racing in Rookie.
✅ Must be very active on the game, and communicate on our forum.
✅ Must be a dedicated player, i.e. plan on sticking around.
✅ Must be willing to share strategies, and post data on our forum.
✅ No need to be a supporter (Because I'm not one) but it would be preferred.

We believe we could be in the top 50 for all of next season. Even if that doesn't happen, you'll be joining the friendliest team on the game.

No matter how much dedication you have for this game, you must have fun. If you consider data analysis and discussion of strategies as a chore, it's probably best you don't join any team that is ambitious.
For us, that's the most fun part of the game, because during that process you start to make real friends with people all around the world.

Scirocco f1 story
Scirocco-Powell Racing
American Hugh Powell took over Emeryson Cars at the end of 1961 and after a year running Tony Settember and John Campbell-Jones he decided to revamp the team in 1962. It was renamed Scirocco-Powell Racing and new versions of the Emeryson design were built under the Scirocco designation. These were fitted with BRM V8 engines. The first car did not appear until the Belgian GP in June 1963 with Settember at the wheel. He crashed heavily and delayed the program further. It was not until the British GP in July that a second car appeared for Ian Burgess, who had previously been the factory manager of Cooper Cars. Both qualified for the race but both retired with mechanical trouble. It was a similar story at Solitude while both crashed early in the German GP. At the non-championship Austrian GP on the Zeltweg airfield in September, Settember kept going to finish second behind Jack Brabham - although the record books rarely show that he was five laps behind. Burgess retired.Neither driver qualified for the Italian GP but at the Oulton Park Gold Cup Burgess finished eighth.At the end of the year the team closed down and Burgess's car was sold to Andre Pilette. He fitted it with a Climax engine and entered it under the Equipe Scirocco Belge banner, contesting several races that year after which the cars were not seen again.........
