Im talking about actual off the shelf PC games you can buy in a shop.
I had a look last night for a decent one to play around with in between races (Definitely addicted now) but the only ones I can really see are VERY old. Judging by the amount of members this site has, there is a big market for this, Im really staggered game developers haven't brought out anything lately.
GPRO, get your heads together and make an off the shelf version of this game, its a milllion pound waiting to happen :-)

Is it purely managerial or do you race? What managerial games do you recommend? If any!

F1 Manager Professional is a free download dos game. It is supposed to be very good, but I could never get it running on my PC.
Grand Prix World by Microprose and Grand Prix Manager 2 by Microprose again. These are old but the only ones that made me go back to them. You should be able to find them as free downloads by now. If you search, you can find updates for them also.
I played EA sports F1 Manager, it is ok if you are hungry for F1 management.
I have put more hours into GPRO than all the above.
I hope I have not infringed on the rules of GPRO. I believe the games above are ligitamate free downloads and not pirates. I do not buy, use, or condone pirate copies.

^ This.
I think the rumours of an alpha build are just the developers taunting us.

Grand Prix Manager 2
i'd love to play this game, but everytime i try to start it, it tells me i don't have wing32.dll. i download that file, put it into the folder with GPM2 and it says, "no, you fail", well not that but it might as well.

You need to extract wing32.dll to the system32 folder (C:\Windows\System32)

I've played a few of the old ones and Grand Prix World was probably the best. It has some bad points but so do the others, overall GPW was better.
There was even updates for it somewhere.
GPM2 was pretty good as well, I just preferred GPW.

The greatest racing game ever was Aryton Senna's Super Monaco GP II for the Sega Genesis.
You can't even imagine how many hours I logged on that game.

Yeah, loved that game, I used flog my mate at it. I liked how you got offered a drive with different teams depending on your performance. A lot of games have come along with better graphics and stuff but none had gameplay as good as Super Monaco.

There is Racing team manager, an unofficial F1 game, dunno what it is like though

I bought it about 2 weeks ago because i saw it on the cheap line and wondered what it was going to be like, turns out it's not that hard to figure out. You can either build in house parts or buy them from certain suppliers, you have to spend a lot of time designing your own parts to get even close to the quality a supplier provides. You get to build your next seasons chassis and engines both become design and research nighmares if you don't have the funds. You make your own money through merchandise and sponsorship, basically it's easy and personally i prefer Grand Prix Manager 1 & 2.

Does anyone know if this game has been released yet... It was suppose be coming out as one of the best single player games but I have never seen it yet..

There was one I played absolutely eons ago. Instead of just boring pages like GPW you would click on the managers office and negoiate drivers and sponsors. Click on a door and it would take you to a design office in which you could obviously develop parts and then a manfactuing shop where you built designed parts or just bought off the shelf parts
then clicking on the motorhome would take you to the race weekend
I remeber having mansell and hill as my drivers with the brlundle brothers as test drivers :(
noone I speak to seems to have a clue about this game! I only had the bloody demo version aswell :(

Wing32.DLL needs to go into your SYSTEM or SYSTEM32 Folder.
Not the game folder :) Do that, and it will work fine.
