I downloaded F1 Professional manager.... and on starting the game i get a blank screen... nothing else :( can someone help? You probably need DOSBox to run it.

still no games for pc? A patched version of Pole Position 2010 is pretty good.

Better still, get an old cheap pentium and stick the good old Dos on it. It takes a bit of setting up up, especially the sound drivers.

Simply raise a few million euros and buy Hispania. More chance you'll be able to do that than there is of GPRM being released lolololololo

I am afraid the only site that does F1 Manager 2000 updates is strange, do what you can to avoid these blatant rubbish adverts otherwise the mods work for that game.
http://www.f1gamers.com/f1/bb/?a=topics&n=6
there has been GPM and GPM2, GPW and that is not moddable friendly, f1 manager 2000 which is not moddable friendly either, RTL f1 game, pole position 2010 which is the same as the previous RTL game.
none of them stood out because of several blatant bugs hard coded into the executable file, like pressing the pit button and a faster car is about to lap yours on f1 M 2000 and you slow right down and start to really creep about until you reach a straight, or press the acceleration screen and see the cars sort themselves out into stale formation flying until a retirement happens, the bad passing system in GPW and F1 M 2000, the ability for a Forti to lead most of the race until the pitstop which should not happen in GPM2, the constant retirement of small teams near the end of every race with RTL game 1 and 2. i have played them all including all these browser based manager games.

I knew GPRM since 2008, and now I rarely pay attendtion to it. :P
But like most guys here, I am still waiting to see any new and refreshing F1 management games to show up.

Its very frustrating that a decent and solid PC or home console F1 manager game hasnt been made after all these years.
My ideal F1 manager game would in fact be a F1 manager/driver game. Where you had the option to manage/drive, or manage and drive. Where you could test out the parts you instructed your staff to develop, buy in and pit yourself against the best drivers in the world in your own team. Get paid a salary, and be head hunted by other teams etc etc...Maybe even a game where you didnt start in F1, but had to work your way through the leagues.
With all the advances in football manager games, its real frustrating to have to keep going back to old buggy games with patches...A decent F1 manager game is way overdue!

I think the issue would be of the demand for such a game is there. Most people who buy an F1 game for PC or consoles will buy it for the driving/racing side of things. I don't doubt that the expertise is there to develop a managent game, but I would question if it would have a market to make it viable.

I actually find it odd too, regarding the demand, i don't think it's too much of a market niche...
And if the game is well done, you don't need F1 license at all, they should just make it easily moddable, that would increase longevity and interest in the game if you can create a good community around it.
I don't know what to say about GPRM, the base idea seems good, but it really seems it won't be released ever.
Also i think no big company is needed to do, just a dedicated team of developers, high level graphics are not needed at all, a top down view would do the job just fine, probably main problem could be creating a decent and competitive AI to challenge the player.
I'd start this over myself if i had the skills :P

I think the issue would be of the demand for such a game is there. Totally disagree, I think alof of F1 fans would love the choice to develop a team, look at how many F1 sim management games there are online, clearly a market for it, I think the main problem is the usual big name companies that get the license dont like to do anything to dramatic with it, they stick to tried and tested formulas to keep the sales coming in, probably because of the failed formula one manager games of the past...but thats all because they werent up to the job.

if the game is well done, you don't need F1 license at all Yeah, the license is not really the relevant part, its a decent playable manager sim that we all want. Would be nicer to have all the real names etc etc...but I would trade all of that for a game that was well thought out, didnt have bugs and was a challenge.

Looking at t his, it looks like exactly the same game as the first one, which was shit, even the drivers faces are the same *Facepalm*

Yup, 'amateur' game makers (which there are quite a few) aren't capable of making it work, and big game companies aren't interested/if they are then they just quickly develop something shit thinking it will sell regardless of quality.

*Facepalm*Jesus, when will they release a good one? :-( The music, and most, if not all of the graphics are recycled. (which in fact come from a previous game, RTL Racing Team Manager, from 2008).
Still, if it gets modded with real team names and pictures, it may be bearable.

I played in the Pole Position 2012. The game is not as bad as it seemed at first glance. It has some interesting ideas. However, the impression of a game marred by some important failings: Awful interface Drivers faces as if from the pages of criminal news The complete absence of news on the championship course of the game

Well Codemasters is going to release F1 online: the game at the end of this year, which looks like a manager game, but with a 3D engine. You can sign up for a closed beta
https://www.f1onlinethegame.com/
But this is the only thing they said about it, it says you can be both the driver and the team boss, so I am not sure what kind of game it is. But judging from the trailer on their site it looks kind of arcadey.
F1 Online: The Game will give you the chance to be the driver and the team boss in a game that combines intuitive top-down racing gameplay with a rewarding management game as you create and manage your own team.
Race with your favourite team in online multiplayer races across a range of game modes, from entering the full 2011 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™ to GRAND PRIX™ events complete with practice and qualifiers and a range of challenges and time trials.
Additionally, you will be able to track and share your progress via a range of leaderboard and social network features.

Any of there games that forces the need to make regular downloads in order to play, and the choosing of various brands or several car components, wont be getting any of my attention. Thats why GPRO, with all its simplicity, is so appealing.

hi I combined all the offline managers F1 on one site. Descriptions of games take from other sites, so if anyone wants to help with reviews on the games, I'll be happy to cooperate
