I understand that this is a volunteered position, and that there can't always be someone available, but I think it's been a bit slow lately...
I thought yes/no polls and double posting was an instant reprimand, yet this topic /gb/forum/ViewTopic.asp?TopicId=29037&Page=3 (a yes/no poll) has a lot of clutter from double posting. I'm not pointing fingers but just wondering if there has been a change to leniency in this area? I only ask as Lyee has posted in that thread so I know it's been viewed by at least one mod.
I don't mean to be a stingey git but it is a little annoying to read cluttered topics like that one, and backseat modding is frowned upon so can't really say anything :)
The thread itself sparked a healthy debate so I'm not asking for it to be closed or anything. Just an example.

The forum rules say: "Use good forum etiquette including, but not limited to, [..] avoiding consecutive posts when an edit is suitable."
When you're posting in a topic, addressing several people regarding separate branches of a discussion, I much prefer doing so in separate posts rather than a single, overly long one. I would not say that it is a case where "an edit is suitable".
The poll was indeed stupid, but well... *shrug*

Who cares if there's a double post or a yes/no poll? So long as someone isn't spamming it isn't hurting anything.
We seriously want to go back to people getting banned for joking around and saying someone is from a hick town?
