Battlefield without a doubt, COD is for pussies.
Example of a fanboy.

If you're 16 or under COD If you're 16 and over BF
COD was once great but it got too manic, lost any sense of realism and became all about having the right perks and weapons and less about player skill
BF is much better balanced and has a real focus on objectives and teamplay instead of K/D ratio... plus there are a lot less whining brats on BF

Whining brats - mute. Problem solved ;)
But yeah MW3 could be good, I'm probs still gonna get it anyway. I am tempted by BF3, but I'll have to be a christmas noob for both of them sadly :/

Call of Duty. Battlefield is a good technical showcase but CoD will be better to play.

Really can't understand this, problems have been littered throughout COD ever since MW2...
Duel Wielding for a start, of stupid things like shotguns Throwing knives Tiny maps (I'm looking at you Black Ops) Random spawn points (Black Ops) Perk combos being more important than player skill
BF has been better for a long time it just doesn't have the brand of COD, it isn't forced down our throats once a year
If both games were released and the titles were changed all the COD fans would love BF

Random spawn points (Black Ops)
One of the best things to happen on COD, would you rather not have random spawn points and just get spawn killed all the time? TD's would be very short.

I got killed more by spawning right in the line of fire than I would if I spawned roughly to one side or the other of the map and work my way back into the battle

Lee have you never heard of spawn killing then? As soon as you know where the enemy spawn point is you can just start C4ing or using kill streaks to stop the other team moving out of their spawn point. Random spawn points stop this completely

In Battlefield I get killed across the map by a sniper watching the spawn...COD does have smaller maps, but you get more kills and action...Definitely COD

Ofcourse but with better map design a la Battlefield it doesn't happen, spawn is still random unless you spawn on squad member but it's normally out of harms way
I just HATED the cheap deaths I would concede 'cause the random spawn of COD put me literally in enemy crosshairs instantly
Even in real life combat is mostly end to end, side to side, bit of flanking. Not just mayhem with fire from all angles
EDIT: also I can't tar everyone with one brush but spawn killing and other cheap tricks from my experience happen less on battlefield 'cause it seems to have a more mature audience with some idea of sportmanship, but as I say this is just what I've seen, I'm sure not all COD players are spawn campers etc

Neither of these franchises look very promising anymore. I think they spend more on marketing than they do trying to develop any new innovations within the genre anymore with these franchises. I never really cared much for the battlefield series. Add to that the implosion of the development studio responsible for the good CoD games (Treyarch makes the not so good ones) and the only way to look at this is with a great deal of caution.
Maybe I am wrong and the new battlefield game wont just feel like more of the same, but I doubt it heavily. I would choose Other were the choice available as neither of these two franchises really appeal to me in any real way anymore.

Touché!
MW2 was actually pretty good once Black Ops came out and all the morons started playing that instead.

I will admit, Battlefield has some really good features, such as being able to fly a helicopter whenever you want to or drive a tank or whatever, but when I would play Bad Company 2 the vehicles were the deciding factor (the majority of the time) instead of "skill" if you will, thats why I prefer COD, now, Im not a big fan of the killstreaks, they arent based off skill either, but Im a huge fan of hardcore TDM and HC CTF. I may get Battlefield, or atleast go out to a movie store and rent it, at some point, but for now its MW3 all the way

I can't believe how some people would spend over £40 on COD. Mine only cost £3.50 and came with chips and mushy peas.
