After the recent big news on Hamilton switching to Mercedes (hahaha) and Perez going to McLaren, Schumacher doesn't have a drive for 2013.
Should he decide to stay in formula one, the only 2 possibilities are Ferrari and Sauber.
Sauber is highly inprobable, as Jaime Alguersueri will probably join them.
Ferrari or the end of his legacy are the only 2 possibilities.
By chance, Ferrari have been tweeting Schumacher Photos all day. ( https://twitter.com/InsideFerrari )
Could it really happen?

I (as an old Schuey fan) would LOOOOOVE to see him in a Ferrari again :D this time with a less dominant car than what he is used to, I still believe he can fight, he may be old but I don't think he is out just yet.

Ferrari is no possibility. As far as I know, Massa already signed for next year...

hmm well i think most likey is he leaves F1 for now but thats not up there :P
so i'll vote Take a higher Administrative position in Mercedes
or he could even go back to his old job at Ferrari in helping there drivers this help massa a ton
but lets face it when your a 7 time WC you have options even at his age

I voted the 3rd one but with Ferrari/Fiat not Mercedes.

Schumi already told that, if Hamiton come to Mercedes, he will become Hamiton TD! Did he change idea?

btw Massa hasn't won a race since Schumacher left Ferrari at the end of 2009, might be interesting to see how the dream team of Smedley, Schumy and Massa get on in 2013 if it happens.

Quote ( Georg Petrov @ September 28th 2012,14:06:38 ) possibilities are Ferrari
No way!! Hell No. He may have been 7 times world champion with Ferrari but those are by gones. Switching Massa with Schumi is pointless..atleast Massa finishes his races albeit in 14th. As for helping drivers, Alonso doesnt need any advice and I hope Massa is out soon, though I've liked him at Ferrari, he's not the same. An admin job at Mercedes...well ok, but I think he shd be racing, after all once a driver always a driver. DTM wld be best, Coulthard was smart.

Massa is still missing from the list, so it's anyones guess
I didn't say that it was an official information that I gave... ;-)

It is someone I know who is close to the Sauber-Team. And from that information we could also expect Gutierrez and Algersuari for Sauber next year.

alonso wont like this

Btw: with the information that Massa stays with Ferrari, there was also a discussion about Vettel joining Ferrari in 2014... :) But that was more of a speculation I think...

Quote ( Colin Timms @ September 28th 2012,14:33:08 ) alonso wont like this
the team name is 'Ferrari' not 'Alonso' so wether he likes it or not isn't really that importend but i really don't think he would mind if it ment that they could get both champships next year

I've heard he declined the offer from Sauber...
As for Alguersuari at Sauber I'm not sure at all. Sauber told he was not in a hurry to announce who will replace Sergio Perez while Alguersuari knew he has secured a seat before Hamilton move was sure. Imo, Alguersuari has signed a contract in a team that fits best his "talent" : HRT.
There's a lot of talented drivers outside and I think Sauber will sign the one who brings more money (I assume that the Perez deal with Carlos Slim is a great lost for the team)
|
|
|
thats a well known one, Stefan (Vettel)
Time will tell. This is the most probable outcome, but don't forget - prior to the singapore GP, The whole Hamilton-Merc deal was not sealed (or at least not officially announced)
This may change some teams' plans..

Do you know if there is any truth in the rumour I created about Kobayashi going to Toyota in WEC?

No, I'm sorry. I just know that Koba seems not to drive for Sauber next year.

well Schumacher is more likely to become a Pirelli test driver as i can't see him joining the bottom 3 teams, toro rosso isn't an option as i can see them keeping their current driver line up as, force india is also likely to keep it's drivers,
hopefully Schumacher will wins a few races before he leaves it's just unfortunate that the merc is uncompetitive
also Vettel has a signed agreement with Ferrari for 2014 but that is all dependent on the performance clauses in his RB contract but the agreement doesn't mean he will drive there in 2014
