The GPRO supporter service exists since 2006 and while many new supporter features have been added to the package during the years, prices have always stayed the same despite of all financial changes in the world since then. Unfortunately the time has come to slightly adjust the price to reflect the costs and the needs of the game in 2015. From Season 50 the supporter price will be increased from 0.40 to 0.50 EUR per race. All other supporter features which require supporter credits will not be affected. We realize this change may not be popular, but we think it is the best way forward to ensure a long life for the game and we are hoping for your understanding.

I remember paying 6.80€ in a close past per season,
now i'm paying 8.16€ per season
Therefore, starting next season, we will pay more than 10€ per season...
Honestly, it's too expensive and I fear that it will backfire to you soon or later.
Personnaly, I really consider not supporting anymore starting S50, and keep records on my side, especially if the gameplay is still not improved.
My feeling about the game since 20 seasons is :
The price keep increasing
The cosmectics features and statistics keep increasing
The gameplay is deseperatly the same
The interest keep decreasing
I would understand an increase of price if a REAL add-on would have been made to the game or to the supporter features, which is not the case.
In fact, I miss the early seasons of GPRO were the game was "alive" and always "evolving".

yes but vat still changed the price for the managers if not the amount GPRO get.

Price has remainded the same. VAT (that is, taxes) was introduced/added as requested (that is, imposed) by the EU laws.
So I think you are mixing things: price (which goes to GPRO), and taxes (which go to the EU). They are not the same thing.

and this is a must thing to do, since not many new suppoters emerge and the game still has many payments to keep it running. i say its a good thing they raised it, if it can keep the game running.

gpro could do a non-christmas promotion with the same mechanics of the christmas promo from september 20 to 30.
people will buy lots (i would).

Yep. If race costs increase, the credits of those who had calculated to bouy enough of them to last until December won't reach that date. They should then buy some until then at a non-reduced price...

thanks god no one forces us to pay.
I'm just saying that after 30 seasons of supporting (more than 200€ !), I think i will stop supporting from now on, except if there are some big work on the game that deserve it, but I really have the feeling that the work on the game is really minimal since 20 seasons and too conservative. It's not only a matter of price (even if it starting to be consequent) but a matter of a deserving price.

Actually GPRO was not taking care of it before, which caused a major issue within the game that I believe is currently on going.
GPRO received a very large unpaid tax bill due to their not having paid the VAT for many years.
This caused GPRO to have to stop advertising, resulting in a significant drop in number of new players over the past year.
I have personally been expecting a price increase for some time now, it is only natural what with the need to get back to advertising to increase new player sign ups.
Fun fact: the increase is an almost exact reflection of inflation adjustment. It takes 0.47 euro today to purchase what 0.4 euro would purchase in 2006 based on inflation alone.

Inflation et cetera. I was surprised it took this long to actually come to this point.
The VAT change is nothing to blame GPRO for. I am in support of this.

As far as I see it it is another increase. Gpro is a business so must pay tax. Just because the stupidity of the owners of the business did not realise they had to pay tax we then had a increase in the cost of supporter credits to compensate for this tax.
Where it said 6.80 for a season it did not say ex vat so when I bought my season worth of credits I was led to believe that I was paying tax within the price.
However you make it look stupidity caused the first increase and now the owners want more money which I can understand as the costs of providing this service have increased over the years.
Now I've babbled on a bit I've no objection with this if it is to continue for another 50 seasons. If there was another increase in the near future after this increase then I'd be more than happy to lose my supporter status. There's no benefit for someone that has been playing this game for many seasons to have it but we do as we want to give something back to the game We enjoy so much.

For those that complain about this.
1) The costs of running this game rises with inflation, it is only fair that prices for supporter statuses rise too after a long while being at 0.4 euros.
2) If its too expensive for you, then you can play this game without supporter status. Nobody is forcing you.

Lets be honest....if you calculate up the enjoyment factor of spending 15 euros on blu-ray/DVDs...the amount you spent on those in the last 5 years...the amount of hours you watched/enjoyed them considering the time spent per euro paid doesn't even come close in my honest opinion.
GPRO is great value. I think the only thing that comes as close for me is Gran Turismo 3 on the PS2 or Goldeneye on the N64. They gave me absolute hours of enjoyment just as GPRO has. So, GPRO is up their with them. Football Manager after that probably.

If that's really too much,you might want to examine your financial situation before concentrating on internet race cars..

that's not question here
in 2006-2010, there were many people working hours and hours on the game, the game was promising and interesting, I could feel that our support was really helping and needed and we were gladly encouraging the game even if the supporter features were low.
now, I remember Vlad saying in a previous anouncement, that they (2 people) can only work on the game half a day per season (or something like that) . What we have only now are minor cosmetic changes, of course with only half a day per season, it is hard to do more.
Maybe the server is a bit more expensive than before but honestly I doubt that is the reason.
Therefore I feel that now my support is only for profits now (which is normal, they must earn money at some time), but in my opinion, it would have been easier to accept the increase if we could see some will to still improve the interest of the game.
Now that's just my personal opinion and feelings, i'm not saying that is valid for everyone.

I don't care about the 2€, of course i can afford it.
But I care about the enjoyment of the game, and GPRO failed lately on that point. Thus my unwill to support the game anymore until they decide to take some risks on adding some gameplay features.
If this increase allows to employ someone that really works on the game and not only 1 day every 2 months, then i would gladly pay the 2€ more per season.
