I just got back into this game after a few year hiatus and was wondering if I were to sign an 85 overall driver before the season ends and he runs the final race, is there a chance that he'd improve to say an 86+ overall without me giving him any training? If this is foby I apologize, just want to set myself up going into next season without the giant driver bid wars after the season ends.

Yup it's always a chance cause he will gain technical insight, motivation and experience.
If You need some info about the drivers just PM me ;) I'll help with what I know and got my knowledge this season.

Don't just look OA when you select driver. It's not like all OA 85 drivers are better than for example OA 75. So look also what kinda drivers are available with lower OA.

I'm aware, just found a really good driver who happens to have 85 OA. Don't want to bother offering him a deal if there's a chance he'll be an 86 and be of no use to me at the start of next season.

I will be happy if some big boss hire me and give no job by some reason.

Signing a nice new contract though may make him feel more motivated.....

If your target driver has some motivation then you have some room to move, you could hire him and consider intentionally qualifying and finishing badly to demotivate the driver perhaps ;)

Peter I don't think you can do that after the last race, everything is locked down until the reset

You are right Graham.
But he still has this race to go deep negtive since its a level 1 car he will haveto do other thngs to spend but there is a way to go deep negative before R 17.

Yup - the debt -15 mlns has to be made before the race to get driver demotivated at the last race day :)
