FINAL RACE SUBMISSION COMING UP.....
Who can promote?
It appears that Peter W. & Michal P. have certainly done enough to return to SRS-A.
Have Jonathan B. & Mick R. scored enough to secure promotion?
7th through 10th all have decent amounts of SRS >> Who can use it to their advantage and get into the promotion slots?
Below 10th place will require a significant amount of luck to find their way into the Top 7 spots....

RACE 15 RESULTS
FINAL STANDINGS
Congrats to Peter W. who claims the SRS-B title this season, winning by a healthy 4 point gap in the end. After a Race 1 all-in that saw Peter score a respectable 7 points, Peter conserved for a couple of races. Race 4 & 5 were a couple of key races as Peter's low end of the mid-pack spending garnered him an additional 9 points. Race 9 was another key race as his 49 SRS got him his sole race victory of the season. Another really good result in Race 13 (scoring 6 points on just 22 SRS) set him into position for a SRS-B victory.
Remarkably, this is Peter's 3rd time winning SRS-B title and he is the 1st player to do so! In total, this is Peter's 8th successful promotion to SRS-A in 11 attempts. I am not 100% sure at this point, but I believe 8 promotions is the also an SRS best.
2nd place goes to a Michal P. He finishes the season as part of the top team - Benetton. Michal makes his 4th successful promotion to the top league where he will enter his 5th SRS-A season. He has yet to find success in SRS-A and will try to improve on a career best 13th place.
3rd place goes to a veteran SRS player and former Champion Greg T. It is his 5th successful promotion where he will enter his 21st SRS-A season. Greg is searching for the form he had when he won the title back in Season 32. Since then, his best finish is a 22nd in SRS-A. Greg will look to add to his 4 career Top 5 finishes.
THINGS TO NOTE:
> It is an impressive and not too common achievement when teammates promote - well done to the Benetton teammates. > It is unbalanced spending in the final races as 12 players go for the big spend in Race 14. > It is unfortunate for Julio A., Mateusz S. & Mikko S. as they could likely have promoted with a good conservation effort in R14 ahead of a Race 15 all-in. > 3 former SRS-A Champions promote from SRS-B this season.
CONGRATS to those in the rest of the 7 promotion slots for SRS-A: > Nate L. - One of just 4 two time Champions, he promotes & enters his 16th SRS-A season in an attempt to add to his 4 winner or runner-up finishes > Jonathan B. - After coming out of retirement, will promote in his 4th attempt. Returns to SRS-A for his 10th season in the top league. > Ania P. - In her 2nd season in the game, promotes to SRS-A where she will be the only Rookie for Season 40. > Mick R. - After a single season stint in SRS-B, will return to SRS-A for his 16th season & looking to add to his 4 Top 10 finishes.
FINAL TEAM STANDINGS
CONGRATS to PETER WILLMORE, our Season 39 SRS-B League Champion
CONGRATS to BENETTON, our Season 39 SRS-B League Team Champion
CONGRATS to the top 8 who PROMOTE to Season 40 of SRS-A League! - Those in the podium spots will pick their teams in order and then after the top 3, it will be first-come, first-serve! Each of the top 3 have 24 hours to make their selection, otherwise we will move onto the next person.
So Peter W., pick your team and then Michal P. will be able to choose, followed by Greg T. before the it becomes 1st come, 1st serve .......etc.

Thanks to everyone for joining and playing and for making this game a wonderful success.
Season 40 thread of the SRS-B League will open up by Tuesday at the latest. If the SRS-A field is completely set, then it may open a little earlier. All of those players NOT promoting will have a guaranteed spot in Season 40 of SRS-B however you just need to wait until I open the new thread to confirm your spot. I will send a PM reminder when it is available.

At last! Thanks to Mike for his constant support - his willingness to let my strategy play out was a big part of the reason I made it up, as he could easily have taken points from me at several races.
Mike - hope you'll join me next season, assuming I manage to retain of course!!!
