I've tried to delete my account but apparently this is not doable. You guys didn't even bother to reply the email I sent BEGGING for account deletion. I don't want any affiliation with this anymore. I'd rather be slapped by a bad man, than have my real name in this. I'm willing to do anything to get permanently banned and deleted from this game. Please end me.

Ask your parliament to pass proper privacy legislation. :P Account deletion on GPRO I fear is a European privilege (whether that's a decent website policy or not, is a different question).

As an FYI csfa (I'm going to call you csfa from now on Ivan), getting permanently banned (afaik) will not remove your name. It'll just keep you from being able to do anything with the account.
So, before you are banned csfa .... can you let us in on any of your other nick names? LOL

Maybe where your first school too? Or your cat/dog name? If not, can we at least know the first street that you lived in? Or your mother's maiden name?

Quote ( Jun Ho @ June 24th 2020,01:05:51 ) Ivan? Is that you? @Jonathan Beagles (A7) we found another Ivan!!!
He will never be the original Ivan - he lacks the class and sophistication of the original :P

im pretty sure it's illegal to keep his account in the game?
Surely there is a delete all button?

Depends on country.

Just open another account! you will be deleted quick enough lol
edit: You could try to race more than one race.... regardless, you will be a shadow in the mist. Go on and play 'Doom' to your hearts delight.

Try changing your name into "Cocksucker Faggotass" in account settings and all your wishes might come true! :-)

In tribute, the team could institute the "Arthur Viseryen Name Removal Process". A worthy honour, in my opinion.
|
|

As if Viseryen is your actual last name.

Why do we think this is IVan?

If I give you the address can you send me £1m? Pretty sure if I split that with the admins they'll sort it. :)

Why did you log back in after 30+ seasons if you want nothing to do with the game?

Who is Ivan and wtf did I miss

Depends on country. It's not true: /gb/AboutGPRO.asp The GPRO headquarters, therefore the registered office, is in Bulgaria which is in Europe. ALL personal information is subject to GDPR therefore all personal information must be treated in the same way and must be deleted and / or anonymized if no longer necessary or if requested by the interested party.

You do know that by starting this thread where your name will be quoted and posted by others, you've made it far less likely for your name to not be linked to this?
Even if the admins deleted your account now, a quick Google of your name will instead return this thread along with your "I'd rather be c*** f***" comment, which I'd be much more concerned about appearing in a Google search for my name than "Grand Prix Racing Online"...

in project mayhem we have no names, but in death his name is Ivan Salfa.

I quite like the idea of a digital footprint. It proves I once existed.
Thousands of years from now, when a group of archaeologists are scraping the nuclear fallout off a long lost data centre, they will be able to retrieve the servers and read the amazing forum posts of the ancients....

@Arthur Viseryen (R54) So sorry for you, but this can't be done, except if Vlad change your name, but this is the rule of the game.
|
|
|
When googling his name, the only posts showing up with it is his profile here. So either it's the only place he used the name or he managed to get rid of any other trace. Either seems slightly suspicious.

well the Funny thing with Ivan is ... he promoted last season to Master..... so much to his request back then to delete himself 🤣🤣

If you ask me I think someone’s committed war crimes... or applying for a job, hard to tell these days

Quote ( Alex Melzer @ June 24th 2020,18:22:04 ) Either seems slightly suspicious. Why ?
Just because a person hasn't volunteered his/her privacy/personal data for corporation profiteering doesn't automatically translate as "suspicious".
IMHO statements (suspicions) like that actually portray how warped the world view has become for some

It's not true: GDPR application depends on where the individual is located when their data is processed. Meaning if you are a EU citizen in the USA... GDPR does not apply to you. But if you are a US citizen located in the EU, GDPR does apply to you.
IE, you must be located within the borders of the EU in order for those protections to apply. Obviously holding a citizenship within the EU would give you a lot more leeway to make the arguement "well I was there on such and such date" when filing a complaint.
Edit: To help you out I pulled an article on the subject: https://www.compliancejunction.com/does-gdpr-apply-to-us-citizens/
It speaks about US citizen in the EU but covers this exact topic.
