Teema: Driver OA question. Possibly FOBY |

Ok so this is probably FOBY but I was wondering if there's ANY way to drop a driver's OA besides taking his motivation down? I'm trying to get my rookie driver down to 85 so I can have him next season and with 0 motivation he's at 86. I understand that it's my own stupid mistake for not doing proper calculations... Any help would be great. Thanks

Yeah, you cant do anything else to drop OA Jacob.

Sorry, you're wrong. There are means of dropping OA - but it all depends on what stats are there to begin with.

One guy on our team was in the same place your in now last season, he screwed up his last 3 races, wrong tyres, multiple pit stops, wrong setup, run with worn out parts and lowerd his OA enough to keep his driver. But i can't tell you by how much ! Quote ( Jacob Govatos @ August 13th 2011,05:21:01 )
with 0 motivation he's at 86

This worked only because he dropped some motivation, In our case without motivation driver has OA 86. So there is nothing you can do about this, Jacob. Just say "Good bye" your driver and find another one.

Thanks for the replies guys. By the looks of it I'll probably have to find a new driver :/

Jonathan is correct. You could drop the OA by at least one point, even if motivation is at zero - but as he says, it does depend on what other stats your driver has...
It is possible to drop driver's OA if your driver has certain stats but in your case it won't be possible because you can't train your driver when you are negative.

What have you been doing in the six teams you been part of.... and the racing info you gathered from Season #9 to now??!!
This is amusing lol :))

I don't see any connection between the two of you?? How is it "our case".. Ilya?

close season might cause his oa to drop as he piles on the weight and stamina drops,---- well mine did anyway. It meant i could resign him on the extension but i still had him over the close season anyway. If his oa is already over the minimum at season end i think you will lose him before the close season resets anyway. sorry :(

Sorry, I found it a bit odd. I did not think that perhaps it was a mistake in typing. Thanks :))

*Spoiler alert* Aggressiveness: anyone?
Edit: Epic failure

If you weren't in negative, there was a way out. But now, I think it is impossible for you to keep this driver through the reset.

Wait...what?
Anyway, yeah, you'd need to be able to train your driver to keep him, which, sadly, you cannot do while you're in negative.

Do DNF will drop my driver OA?
Yes, as motivation will go down, but if already on really low or 0 motivation , wont happen then.
Alright. thanks man i need to drop my driver motivation
you can get some bad results then, wrong setups or wrong tires. Start Accident is not the best manner imo, as prize money gets halved, it saves your car though . Good Luck :)

I extended my driver contract with another 17 races at the beginning of the season. So if his Oa rises to 115 I'll have him for at least another season

Not start accident, i just plan to not buying any parts my car will not be able to finish the race because the parts will be very worn ok. GL to u too man

It can finish the race with even very high wear, if you plan it correctly :p ;)

You can also just make 6 or 7 stops so your driver gets pissed that he finishes at the back of the pack every time. His OA will drop pretty fast and you'll still coverthe 90% of the race
Great idea Stefan, i'll combo with that xD

I have trained my driver a few times and these were the results I have got
Fitness class: +a Stamina -b Weight -c Motivation
Tech training: +d Technical insight
Ninja Class: +e Aggressiveness
This is also a good way to change your OA if you do the fitness class you will lose about f OA so if you do this a few times you should drop g OA
