Hundreds of women you personally know have to do that kind of stuff with the boss?
Ya, right. You watch too much TV.
No,I don't watch TV the last 18 years. Except from F1 races or Football games.
But my experience when I was working at bars and restaurants is that almost every girl was mistress of the boss or other "important staff".
Also a friend of mine had a cafe-bar and I've seen what happened there for at least 4 years that I was present there.
Personally I am glad that you don't believe me. This means that in your country this isn't a common thing.
And I also have the opposite examples from boys that had to accept the "invitation" of their female bosses Which by the way were quite old,fat and ugly.

Quote ( Luke Frost @ August 7th 2020,13:38:06 )

And which post were you offended about?
Offended? What makes you think I will ever be offended from any kind of comments typed from a keyboard of anyone that doesn't know anything about me?
I will be amused,not offended.
After all,if someone wants to offend me and I respond to this,he will get the pleasure that he achieved his goal.
Stupidity is invincible, unless you ignore it

Next time select a driver with face.

Yeah, though in the name of equality, there are several male-named drivers without faces too.

Furthermore, in the name of equality, there are no genders anymore, apparently we're all just genderless blobs

I'm quite tired of males appealing to the humor excuse when making a certain joke that makes fun of a historically degraded group, in this case women. If you want to mentally excuse your own macho humor in order to feel better, just don't, assume you were taught to find funny such machist joke and try to avoid it, if anything, keep the jokes for your private environment, where people that know you well are able to judge or not based on your personality, don't do it in a public environment where all we can know about you is that machist conduct. These jokes are just a tiny part of a large group of things integrated in everybody's life, they create school and don't make justice to the 99'9% of the women who have earned their work in a legitimate way.

The original post is a joke itself.

But apart from that, what is the problem with jokes?

Is there any prohibited matters that people can not joke with? And WHO decides that?

Is there any other form of expression that is not allowed? Some things you can not paint or write a book about?

A joke is people making humour after a serious matter. It's not a statement about that matter. If you can't understand that, I'm sorry about it, but that's your problem. If you can't take a joke, that's too sad. Literally.

If you don't like a painting, do you destroy it?

Too many people in general 'feel' that this type of 'humour' is just in jest and they are only being "funny". :/

What is not being considered, is that acceptance of remarks and actions, that reinforce the inequality and lack of respect, enable such views and actions to continue.

Riu, do you think making 'fun' of... let's say a person with a Cerebral Palsy is okay? Would you feel comfortable to do that?

I would hope that you would have decency and compassion for that person and refrain from making her/him the 'butt' of a joke.

The problem is not the jokes, or what is said.

The problem is the danger of controling what is correct or not. What you can say and what you can not say. And who will control it.

I have lived in times of censorship and didn't like it. You could have been arrested for what you said or write.

I will defend freedom of expression until I die. I will aslo defend freedom and democracy. Freedom means you can do or say whatever you want, without interfering with other people's right to be free as well.

People think their idea is always the right one. Other oppinions are always wrong. Have your oppinion, respect other oppinions.

Laugh? Tell your kid he is entitled to have am opinion and it's fine? Or educate him to not offend people in such a rude manner because it's just wrong?
