Staal moves to McLaren!
In a turn of events, due to Lung's retirement, McLaren have offered @Dion Staal (A3) the second seat at McLaren, which Staal agreed to and signed a new one-year contract with the British outfit. Speaking to the press, Staal said:
"I have enjoyed my time with the Williams team and thank them for the years of service and providing me with a platform to showcase my skills on the track. We did our best season to date last season and am glad that McLaren have seen this and gave me an opportunity to perform in a much better car."
The McLaren owner has said:
"I am thrilled that we are able to get someone of Staal's quality. I am happy that he has accepted our proposal and he will definitely fit in well along with Beagles. We hope that they will maintain a fruitful relationship and partnership for the foreseeable future."
