I had 2 different picks but I decided to go with the extra restriction of odd groups 1-5.

I have had a good look at all the suggestions put on here previously and am almost at the stage where I have finalised the "new" format
Some things you might like, some you might not but I have come to those decisions because of a few reasons.... in my mind, it either makes it easier for me, makes it more competitive for managers or just makes common sense.
Am typing it all now in my new excel sheet and will list the changes shortly.

NEW SEASON RULES / CHANGES
Each manager will need to select 5 Managers ONLY .
1 Each from Elite right down to Rookie who will potentially score goals s for them
Therefore
1 from ELITE
1 from MASTER
1 from PRO
1 from AMATEUR
1 from ROOKIE
The chosen managers will score goals s according to the position they finish determined by GPRO points scored averaged and rounded UP or DOWN
4.00 - 4.49 …. Would be rounded down to 4
4.50 - 4.99 …. Would be rounded up to 5
For example, if the 5 managers chosen score 47 points in total, that would be an average of 9.4.
That 9.4 will then be determined by the following table
0 to 5 points …... 0 goals
5.1 to 6.0 points = 1 goal
6.1 to 7.0 points = 2 goals
7.1 to 8.0 points = 3 goals
8.1 to 9.0 points = 4 goals
9.1 to 10.0 points = 5 goals
If there are any BOT teams be aware that will get their managers will chosen at Random by using "Random Integer Set Generator"
so bear in mind that they could get some good managers picked for them, this is in an effort to encourage managers to "make the best choices as well as they can"
The FINAL stipulation is that you will only be able to pick managers from GROUPS 1 - 5 in each LEVEL
I know this may not please some but feel that if you have all the ODD or EVEN numbers of both AMATEUR and ROOKIE …. You will always find a manager to score 10 points and I am trying to make it more strategic
I still think there is plenty of scope and choice in 5 Groups as you are only looking at 10 Matches in total
You may submit any amounts of entry if you decide to change your mind or feel you have made a mistake … as I will go by the latest entry that is made
These are the changes I intend to make .... UNLESS too many managers are against them but I do believe these will improve the game and make it more competitive but please let me know if you have any huge objections

@Alan Halford (A9) The new rules seem fine to me as a basis for Season 2. Personally, I think that some might find the 5 managers (instead of 10) from just 5 Groups a little restrictive but perhaps we will have the opportunity to comment on how the game works before the start of Season 3?
But my overriding comment is that you have created a brilliant concept for a Forum game and I am looking forward to the intensity of Division 1 after your and my promotion!

to make your work lighter give bots to 1 goal each match so we need to score 2 goals to get 3 points this is also competitive without extra work ;)

tbh that was the idea, as I felt this BETA season it was always EASY to find good winners in Amateur and Rookie so I wanted to restrict that and make managers do a little more research rather than almost pick a random Rookie and get 10 points.
I just felt this way there is still ample opportunity within 5 groups to find good results. We shall see and if need be

Not sure how I could do that as perhaps we have 15 teams - we have Leagues of 6 managers meaning we will have a league of only 3 managers so BOT teams are required.
Unless I can guarantee 6,12,18 or 24 managers each season, there will always be empty fixtures which BOT teams will fill

If we have 15 managers for sure, then you make 3 groups of 5. That means 8 matches (ie 4 rounds and 4 returns). It allows 2 seasons in a single GPRO season. (with a GPRO stage in between for the break)

If you want the work to run 2 seasons in a GPRO season that is fine but I think I am happy with just 1 season thank you :)
