Well done! Colin you must be really pissed off lately! Not to mention this is your own fault as you had set slicks on a wet track.

Isn't it all part of the fun?
Weather is an interesting element of the game in my opinion

I wasn’t complaining, I should have given myself more room for error in my calculations, I went aggressive and got caught out, weather forecasts are unpredictable in real life so why not in the game as well, it hasn’t hurt me that much, just found it funny. Perhaps they could have a downward scale rather than 60-70 in 0-30 to then 0% in 30-1hr. Although I am in rookie at the moment, I certainly should have enough experience to see past the times quoted.

Yes, but surely 0% means 0 chance of rain? It should have stopped raining 30 minutes into race, or before.

I think thats the great thing you can see you went aggressive and got caught out, I went aggressive but I've got to say its not helped the rest of my race so far.

its mean 0% chance of it starting, if it is raining then it will stop in the session.

It did help my strategy a little maybe (probably not because my driver is piss poor in rain) but I should've waited 1 lap before going back to slicks. ALways forget to change that setting.

It’s ok, I managed to come back and get the win, so all is well that ends well !

No. I'm pretty sure that it's in the rules or the FAQ somewhere,
[EDIT] Actually, I can't find where it's referenced, so I'll just keep that to myself for now.

Ok, all you clever people please tell me when the rain will start for Portimao or not, and if and when it will stop.
Thank you very much in advance.
Ps please consider the last race was 60 - 70% rain to 0 % Rain. This time start is 85 -95% to 80 -90% and start is dry.
If it help you can borrow my dice!

Here I am Colin. I reveal the secret: it happens the exactly opposite that I plan everytime it rains, so you can contact me after my qualifying ;)
(11 races this year, 8 podiums and 3 disasters in the 3 rain races)

Me too.
It seems all the people that know after the event don't want to give us their wisdom before.

Quote ( Ignacio Belatti @ March 7th 2018,20:02:46 ) Dear Admins,
Could you please put a weather that better suits my tyres? That is: rain at 27c.
Yours respectfully,
Ignacio Belatti.
You really have some friends in high places (Heaven ?). Please ask for it others 2 times before the end of the season (if you can) and we will be really happy :)

Honestly, it's the first time I've ever seen that, and what it says is, if there's a chance of rain for 30 minutes, it could rain for 59 minutes.
What happened to common sense?

Hi guys, i am in trouble for the next weather race.
The weather at start (1) and second quarter (2), it means that: 1 - The rain can start
2 - The rain continue 2 - The rain can stop and can restart 2 - The rain will stop and can restart
I red rules and faq, guides and wiki but i am not sure of the right interpretation of this weather event.
|
|
|
Amod, you are not the only one I can assure you!
We all have to guess.........and fail!
|
|
|
The interpretation is that
1 - Rain can start. After that it is possible that it continues the entire quarter, or it can also stop during the quarter. 2 - The same as above, if it rains at the start of the quarter, it is possible that it rains the entire quarter, or it can also stop, or even stop and start again. If it doesn't rain, it can stay dry, or it can start, or start and stop.
More than 2 events per quarter are quite unlikely, but could happen too.

Ok thank's than i use my dices to chose :p
|
|
|
|
|
|
Jukka, that gave me a headache reading it. :P
View it as the chance of rain starting in the quarter. Nothing to do with it stopping. If it is already raining, that's when it gets more guesswork as no way of knowing when it will stop for sure. Though very low percentage it usually stops early in that quarter.
Good thing is, everyone is in the same position with guessing.

It's so easy....
Q1 it might rain it might not. Q2 it might rain. it might be raining, it might stop raining or if it's dry it might start raining Q3 see Q2 Q4 see Q2
Really can't understand why anyone could find it difficult to plan perfectly for this race.... :)

- I would like to point out that there is no imagination to the Game Masters.!!! ...In Mathematics when we say ...Rain Possibility 85-95% at Start - 0:30' means that we have absolutely Rain on this Half hour.!!!! ...that Rain can happen any minute from 0 to 30'.!!!! - Why always the Rain beguine on 5-6 Lap.??? ...there is any agreement with God.??? ...to much Boring all this.!!! ...sorry.-

Ioannis: they have a software code for weather and that’s what it does, apparently.
Regarding the Denmark & 43c I like to think that GPRO gives you the track temp and not the ambient one.
|
|
|
Ignacio: There are completely different the two cases.!!! ...other thing to define Parameters and other to Rape Mathematic Functions.-
...I Want to note that is Dangerous to Create Illusions to young people, even in a Game.!!! ...It's Abnormal to Start with Rain Tyres with Sun and 30 degrees ...and win ALWAYS.!!!
- if it does not bother you to give so dangerous messages to your children.!!! ...it's OK with me.-
:)
