Some would say that the palace fan which Cantona kicked deserved it, wonder how long a ban hazard will get

My god, can you imagine the uproar if Luis Suarez had done what Eden Hazard has just done ?
Not sure what the ball boy was thinking, but Hazard has just kicked out at a ball boy....

Congrats to Swansea and Bradford, going to be a good final.

About the same amount as Hazard. Maybe more, going by his history of outrageous incidents. Obviously a history like his with incidents will bring more attention. Open your eyes mate, or at least take off your blindfold (rose-tinted glasses is what I was going for!) and actually recognise why he has a lot of bad critics.

You know I was saying something very similar earlier...
I think Hazard was really stupid, as you can't do something like that in the current climate. But I must say my sympathies lie with the Chelsea fans - as that must be so frustrating to go out to a less fancied team and to have a player sent off in dubious circumstances - in that he was clearly provoked by the kid deliberately lying on the ball.
Still - EPIC final lol :D

Well done Swansea, Have a great day at Wembley Michael and all the Swansea and Braford fans on gpro.

If that could be counted as assaulting a minor, could there be quite a serious charge? Still, kid deserved it in my eyes.

|

Yeah! let's all support assault.

Depends, if he complains to the police or FA or anything, or if someone else complains, then it could be looked upon. I have no idea about law, we'll just see in a matter of time :).

how can that be dubious circumstances he kicked a child , he is an adult chucking his toys out of the pram. He should get a long ban

probably a 10 match ban :D

sportsmanship and should be introduced in every match. Ball boys should run with the ball at least 10 yards before releasing it

he fell for it so not really dubious
the tie was over at stamford bridge
better side went through end off

Unfortunately for Hazard, you stated the main fact there, it was just a kid. How can a grown man kick out at a kid in any circumstances ?
Quote ( Joe Manifold @ January 23rd 2013,22:41:57 ) Open your eyes mate, or at least take off your blindfold and actually recognise why he has a lot of bad critics.
I don't doubt for one minute, that Luis Suarez will not make the FIFA fair play honours list, but many of the incidents involving him are blown completely out of proportion, because it is him. And I have no doubt if he has done what Hazard has just done, then not many people would point to the fact that the ball boy was laying on the ball, instead instantly pointing to the fact that Suarez would have assaulted him...

All because of his history, what he has done in the past. Otherwise there would be no reason at all.

I'll be honest - I only realised it was a kid afterwards. I had no idea kids were even allowed to be ball boys next to the pitch, like I'd seen them outside the pitch before but I didn't realise they could get so close!
That said, I don't think Hazard deliberately kicked a child. I think he deliberately kicked the ball, which there was someone on top of, who was being deliberately being obstinate and not moving.
Maybe I just don't like to think the worse of footballers immediately, and I openly admit I could be completely wrong and Hazard could be an awful human being who deliberately and openly kicks children. He may spend his weekends visiting orphanages and doing so for all I know, but before everyone is so quickly to vilify him for a moment of madness - well, my point of view on it is "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Not getting religious, I just think it's a good way of going about these things.

It's incredible - the attitude to assaulting someone, compared to the attitude of diving or handballs. I know which should obviously be worse...
|
|

All in all, the ball boy will get signed for Man Utd based on his astounding theatric skills. Give it some time ;).

And kick kids... :)

He didnt kick him hard, just a little reminder to stop being a cock, lol.
Kids have it so easy these days :-p

To be fair to Hazard there are a lot of people on this forum who are acting as if the boy was just minding his manners and he went over and kicked his head in!
You have to admit that the kid was getting right in the way of a professional football match - if a child jeopardised a deal at my job I would be seriously pissed off! Though, I'd like to think I wouldn't kick the contract out of their hands :P

I cant believe people are actually defending hazard

it doesn't matter what he was doing, assault is never acceptable in any circumstance

Don't confuse defending with not jumping all over him to accuse him of being an awful individual - he should definitely not have kicked out. But by the same token, there has to be some element of balance here - I'd love to hear from a Chelsea fan to see their point of view, but I don't know if we have any here. I guess I'm just trying to empathise with them.
Let the newspapers and media jump all over Hazard, there'll be no lack of mindless people willing to condemn him for it...

i doubt anyone is really defending him
its just that some people are clearly trying to get a rise out of this situation. Whist it was assault i wouldn't class it as grievous bodily harm

Kid deserves everything he got, doesn't deserve to be a ball boy again if he wants to do things like that.

Hazard kicked the ball boy for keeping the ball. Torres would have missed him, Cole would've shot him and Terry would have shagged him.
