I have hamachi. So can give it a go if you want.
Also Hamachi is essentially a way of creating a LAN across the net. It doesnt allow for file sharing(or at least I havent been able to do it.) but it does allow for games to be played through the LAN settings in their menus.
Essentially, hamachi has been used as a tool by people who for some strange reason their net doesnt let them host or their routers (Old BT ones in particular were bad for this) had built in firewalls that you had to literally rip your hair out taking down, so getting hamachi to allow you to host games with your friends (across a 'LAN') was significantly easier. On a side note to that, it also allows for the playing of pirated games multiplayer with friends(and note under no way do I condone this :P) since you couldnt connect online with many of them, but the LAN option became available by using Hamachi and that didnt require a CD Key.

Okay hamachi name is Gpro Test and the password is "mrshadow". (No spaces or capitals) When you can test it just send me a message on something :)

Yeah, if you don't have hamachi the host has to port forward which is alot of effort and I don't know how to do it :)

It's great! :)
Already found a witch house, unfortunately there was no witch? But there was a lava pool nearby, so I just hope she didn't... :(
The anvil renaming is epic too! :) Finally I can give my weapons a cool name for the fight!

Can you explain what the beacons do?

Quote ( Wopke Hoekstra @ October 25th 2012,21:57:02 ) Can you explain what the beacons do?
The Beacon is a block that when placed as the final block on top of a pyramid formation made up of diamond, emerald, gold or iron blocks (or any combination of the 4), will emit a beam of light into the sky. The block may also provide temporary buffs to players within area-of-effect of the block if chosen in the block's GUI; however, these buffs only last for a mere 8 seconds, making them mostly useless (except for regeneration) unless you stay near it. The pyramid formation that the beacon block sits on top of must be one to four blocks in height (not including the beacon block) otherwise the beacon block will have no effect. The smallest pyramid that can be made to work with the beacon block has 1 level and consists of 9 mineral blocks.

I took that from wikipedia but beacons just let you create a light in the sky if you do a pyramid and it can give you special abilities, but it's very expensive in gold iron diamond or emerald!

I've got a question: If there's a household where more than one person wants to play(On different PCs ofc), does each one have to buy the game seperately(game download tied to the person buying it)?
|
|
|
Yes, if they want to play at the same time, as far as I know.

For Minecraft fans there is a movie about the game :
Minecraft: The Story of Mojang
n 2009, independent video game designer Markus "Notch" Persson released a work in progress that would go on to break every industry rule for achieving success. Part exploratory adventure, part creative building tool, Minecraft evolved from a cult classic into an unprecedented hit, raking daily sales in by the thousands. By the end of 2010, Notch was able to quit his day job and live the dream of founding his own development studio, Mojang.
Minecraft: The Story of Mojang is a feature-length documentary that follows the young company over the course of its first year as their profile expanded across the world stage and into the homes of millions of gamers. Featuring insights from industry icons (Peter Molyneux, Tim Schafer), journalists (Geoff Keighley, Stephen Totilo), tastemakers (Gabe & Tycho of Penny Arcade), and players profoundly impacted by the game (Yogscast, The Shaft, Minecraft Teacher), the film serves as a time capsule for one of this generation's most unorthodox success stories.
Minecraft is the second feature from game culture archivists 2 Player Productions (Reformat the Planet, Penny Arcade: The Series - Season 1, Double Fine Adventure!). Funded through crowdsourcing site Kickstarter.com, the production spanned nearly two years in locations across North America and Europe.

Howdy Ya'll!
I've recently got the game and after countless hours of watching Minecraft videos and experiencing a bit of 'Survival Mode' as well as 'Creative Mode', I was wondering if anyone wants to have a session or something.
