just because they drove slow cars in the early 90's it doesn't mean they are a worst driver ever? What are the reasons?

Luca Badoer was a big mistake from Ferrari. Before race in Ferrari in 2009, his last race in F1 was in 1999 with Minardi, 10 years without drive a F1 car is much time... so I think he's not the worst of all.

Yudi Ide, a very bad driver in single seater cars but in touring he performed well. I think he is the worst driver in F1, because...

Maldonado his a crash professional, but he have win GP2 and GP Spain 2012.

Alex Young I don't know but he stayed in F1 2 years, so, surely he is better than Ide.

Susie Wolff... I don't know to much, she is only test driver, so I can't said she is worst than Ide.

Gaston Mazzacane

just because they drove slow cars in the early 90's it doesn't mean they are a worst driver ever? What are the reasons?

In order to be more consistant concerning Mazzacane, here are his results in high rated european promotion series (no titles in sud-america from karting...) :

1995 - F3 : P11
1996 - F3000 : Not Classified
1997 - F3000 : Not Classified
1998 - F3000 : P21 (2pts)
1999 - F3000 : Not Classified

So far, absolutely nothing to pretend to a seat in F1... But, thanks to Telefonica :

2000 : Beaten 14-3 against Marc Gene (!) in Qualifications (average +0,5s lost). Best Grid : 20th. Best Finish : 8th (+2 laps, 9 drivers at finish). Off track at Monaco...

2001 : Beaten 4-0 against Grandpa Alesi in Qualifications (average +1,5s lost !). Best Grid : 19th. Best Finish : 12th.

A desert after his f1 career...

I don't pretend to be able to drive a f1 car but his brut results are kinda pretty bad... So yeah, for me he's the worst (with Yuji Ide) since i am able to watch f1 races (1999).

To be absolutely honest: This thread should be deleted completely and replaced by one with at least more voting options.

There are a lot of 90ties drivers that could/should/would be up there:

"Johnny Carwash"?
Domenico Schiattarella?
Philippe Adams?
Jean-Denis Déletraz?
Paul Belmondo?
Taki Inoue?

Some were okay elsewhere(Délétraz, Ide), but not fast enough for F1(even for the standards of backmarkers).

Pedro Diniz was ok tbh. He was only in F1 because of his money (I think his dad owned Parmalat iirc?)

no, was Pão de Açucar Group, now owned by Casino.
But he used to say to his 3rd party vendors: "Sponsorship him or u are out of my retail chain!"

LOL

Quote ( Phil Maunder @ October 2nd 2015,15:57:02 )

He matched Damon Hill in a lot of races in their season at Arrows & that was only the season after Hill was world champ. Also iirc he finished 5th at Spa in the arrows that year as well which is a true drivers circuit.

I can't remember any specific incidents with Diniz and in terms of speed I don't think it's fair to call him a worst ever....

come on Phil, D Hill was not that much...

LOOOOL

Pastor Maldonado - oh dear oh dear, if there was no money there would be no pasta.

I know that Pastor should not did some mistakes with the experience he has right now, and im conscious about "money factor" but HOW DARE YOU to put Maldonado in this list? A driver with titles and ONE RACE WINNED with a car that obviously was not the best?

This is just so stupid, i was expecting a thread just a bit serious
And im talking as an FORMULA ONE FAN. Not just as Venezuelan

Sorry for my language, but this comparision is just so stupid.

You're all voting Maldonado, even though he won a race.

Yugi Ide on the other hand actually had his Super Licence revoked for being so bad.
