Quote ( Chew Kai Wen @ September 20th 2018,23:06:31 ) Not cool at all. I must be exhausted from all these replays! :/
This would be my excuse if I lose then :p

One Semi-Finalist from the top half and the bottom half's Finalist is set. Whenever the other Quarterfinal from the top is done, the results will be revealed.

Kyle will only make submission in the last minutes as always, regardless how early/late his opponent submit :)

I only do it late for you lyee as i do it the same time i do premier 5's and you aren't online for the deadline xD

The new Tie-PM says clearly:
You need to submit BOTH a unique second submission before the deadline, as well as a Tiebreak Number. If your second submission ties with your opponent's, the Tiebreak Number will be needed. Whoever sends the bigger number, advances but Tiebreaker Numbers only reset at the end of the season. You have 15 Tiebreak Points for this year.
So even though it's not in the rules, I'm going to enforce it like this: if someone sends his second submission but sends no Tiebreak Number next to it, it's going to be looked as if he/she sent 0 Tiebreak Points.
So if I receive no Tiebreak Points from the last Quarter-finalist by 18:00, I'm going to proceed as said. I hope that's alright for everyone, we got a tight schedule and waiting for 3 separate PMs is out of the question.

Yes, your tiebreaker schedule seems very reasonable to me.

We are slowly but surely moving towards the inevitable conclusion of the first grasscourt Grand of GPRO Bracket Tour. The top half just can't stop tying though the first Quarterfinal looks an easy match with 'only' one tie. Number one seed Chew Kai Wen wins again and gets closer to his second grand victory and a likely #1 spot until at least the end of the year. But he still has to beat two 21-skilled players, first Martin Irla, who went until the very end to secure his Final Four position. It's no fluke (or coinflip anymore), Irla beat Berrón fair and square, by sacrificing more Tiebreak Points than the Spaniard.
The bottom half passed all deadlines so far and as a result, they have their Finalist in time. In a surprisingly simple fashion, without any ties. Kyle Morris' first four sets went according to his plans and Lyee Chong couldn't catch up anymore.
--- Deadline is Saturday 18:00 for the players of the following matches:
Rome Grand - Semi-Finals Chew Kai Wen {1} v Martin Irla

GBT Season 1 May
Rome Grand - Semi-Finals (cont.)
Chew Kai Wen {1} def. Martin Irla 3-2 (1-0, 1-5, 6-5, 5-5, 1-1, 5-1, 1-4)
https://i.imgur.com/9KrwYA0.png
After all of this, we are only one hour behind schedule! All this thanks to Chew Kai Wen and Martin Irla, who mutually decided not to take a rest session (they had no time for a rest day anyway) and went back-to-back to secure their place in the final. And they played as expected, both providing their third tied match respectively. Only Irla had winning experience in tiebreaks but there was no need for it as Kai Wen overcomes a 20-21 skill point deficit for the second time in a row and secures his place in the Rome Grand final! His opponent is going to be Kyle Morris, who just won his first match after two walkovers. Can Chew Kai Wen become the first double Grand Winner? (Note: he is the only Grand winner so far.) Or will the 21-skilled Kyle Morris stop him? The most important grass-court match is next on GBT!
--- Deadline is Saturday 23:00 for the players of the following matches:
Rome Grand - Final Chew Kai Wen {1} v Kyle Morris

GBT Season 1 May
Rome Grand - Final
Kyle Morris def. Chew Kai Wen {1} 4-3 on replay (6-5, 0-3, 5-3, 5-0, 0-3, 5-3, 0-3)
https://i.imgur.com/NxdN5wF.png
This Grand was quite a special tournament. Eight ties in total, four from Chew Kai Wen who tied all of his matches while beating more skilled players in his way to the final. The fairytale story of the double Grand victory or a possible Golden Grand was denied by Kyle Morris, who may have been lucky with the two walkovers but also dominant when it came to actually playing. A crucial 6-5 first set was the decided, as well as the fact that three other sets were easily won by Morris' 5 points.

A win and a second place in two Grands solidify Chew Kai Wen's first place. Kyle Morris is the new #2 player thanks to his victory in Rome. Greg Tierney overtakes Tom Byrne who drops two places, Ángel Berrón is comfortably 5th ahead of the rest of the field, where everyone is separated by 100 points or less. Fortunately, all 24 players have the Stamina to play and with two 500s on the menu, there is quite something to play for.

So I've procrastinated long enough and this is going to be a quiet month anyway so here goes:
I still want to have some sort of extra competition, like the Davis Cup or the Laver Cup. I compiled some (all?) of the suggestions made 4-5 weeks ago and put them into a Google form (because what else if you are unable to decide). The name of the competition is going to be The Players' Cup because it was always intended to be decided by you players. :)
Link to the form: https://goo.gl/forms/9CjWF0XEOFTn4GgO2 You'll be receiving one PM about this matter today or tomorrow but please don't vote twice!
The Madrid 500 reminders will come in three hours.

Better for me :p
You shouldn't think that they didn't send anything because you are dping anything wrong. You are a great game host and you should keep up the good work. I'm actually kinda sad that i saw that unhappy face in your message. Just keep it up man.
But I think there should be some kind of a cap to the skill or rewards for winning the tournaments (money that you need to upgrade skills) or something like: xou need to be in the top 10 to be able to upgrade to level 25 or something like that.

It's not the end of the world by any means, but I can't think of a game which had 25% of players missing the deadline. Likely just coincidences aligning. Thanks for the nice words :)
Your main point is that people shouldn't be allowed to train, rest, repeat to skip a few seasons and dominate the game after? I don't want to go into details but I see that as one of the strategies and not THE strategy to win the game. It has its' setbacks, it can be countered (just like the other strategies). Especially, since there is a cap to skill indeed :) A player can only train themselves 9 times per skill. (Max 24 clay, 29 grass and 34 hard) And even then, he is set to lose 2 skill points at the end of the season.
