I have no problem with people trying to make money, especially when you're in an industry that relies on crowds/large amounts of disposable income, both of which are currently in short supply. However in this regard not respecting fans as stakeholders will mean the teams involved admitting that their identity and purpose lies not with the communities which they are the nucleus of nor securing the game's legacy but solely as an entity to make the balance sheet look good defeats the purpose of sport in general.

Whether the various sporting bodies or respective national governments will or can do anything about it is the question. Personally I don't see an easy solution to this. People are individual actors and as such I hope fans take reasonable steps to try and save the institution of football. Banning mass gatherings has just made clubs believe they can assume they know what fans want. Food for thought.

ONE THING is for sure IF this ESL proceeds, the share values of these 12 clubs will plummet in about 2-3 years and then the supporters will be able to buy back these clubs

In the meantime, UK government will have to enact new laws how football clubs are governed and owned!

I can only agree to what Packer did for the world series. Remember the forerunner to the IPL, ICL came and gone 2 seasons later! Now, even the IPL has lost its gloss!!

This is happening in almost every sport

Athletics - Golden League!
Tennis wants to form a breakaway!
Even F1 teams want to breakaway!

At the heart of it all, its all about money and no consideration for the real fans!

Perhaps a little late to the party but what are people's thoughts r.e. Messi leaving Barcelona? Where's he going? I'm hoping he'll join Cardiff City but that may be wishful thinking.

CR7 might join Sporting Lisbon, but I doubt Messi will. I read that he is currently linked to a move in PSG.

So, whenever the fridge is in the team, we now must play 3 CBs. Thing is, when you've two pretty much holding midfielders in there aswell, its too much to carry that much weight at the back. Its just stifling creativity in the middle which is exactly what has happened in the last 4 or 5 months now. 3 CBs also needs wing backs more like Trent really if you're going to go down that route.

This England team is very much square pegs in round holes. And one top heavy fridge.

So some new drug cartel must be again dumping drugs in Miami.
And wash money ofcourse.

Thats the only reasonable explanation,
Too bad Maradona is gone... he would be coach.

Inter Pompano Beach CF?

yeah, I've said that before, not Pompano because Pompano is about 2.5km north of the stadium; but I was proven wrong because It's all still located in Miami Metropolitan area...

No hate man.

I dont think football is ever gonna let the rots in US.
They have own sports.

Been tried in 70s with Pele and others.

Probably the idea of trying is not try it once and if it doesn't work it's not for you.. most success stories start with many fails

I like NFL and MLB.

There is something different in US sports.

Told friends to watch NFL since a lot of stuff is going on.

Basiclly all sad the same - I was watching it. But nothing was going on. Bunch of guys where just standing and talking in the middle of the field.
