In the race analysis of my last race, Oesterreichring (Austria):

Start fuel: 180 liters

Pit Pitstop reason Tyres condition Fuel left Refilled to Pit time
Stop 1
(Lap 23) The tyres could not do any more laps 3% 59% No refill 27.750s
Stop 2
(Lap 45) The tyres could not do any more laps 1% 9% 78 liters 23.935s

Tyres condition after finish: 75%

Fuel left in the car after finish: 50 liters

My first pit stop, I just changed tyres and it took 27.750 seconds.

My second pit stop, I changed tyres _and refilled_ 78 liters fuel and it took 23.935 seconds (3.815 seconds less than the first).

It seems illogical to me. Is this due to some random calculation, or a bug?

It's not a bug.

Assuming adding fuel and changing tyres happens at the same time in GPRO, whatever takes the longest to perform should decide the pitstop length. There is no reason to assume it has to be fuel that takes longer.

Otherwise variations of several seconds in pitstop times are quite normal, especially in the lower tiers of the game due to several factors.

You have to remember that you pitted lap 23 when the weather changed. The pit crew were in the back playing darts when your driver entered the pits and weren't expecting you to come in, hence the longer time it took to put new rubber on.

The pit reason is tyres though. The pit crew was ready for that.

It's so long since I raced, so I may have forgotten, but if you have both weather stop and fuel/tyre stop on the same lap, the weather change does affect the pit time. I believe the tyres/fuel is still shown as the reason. EDIT: Seems that I was wrong. In that case it would show the weather as the reason.

However, if you have wait to pit = 1, but get a scheduled pit before that, the pit time is not affected by the weather change.

It was decided by a small but yet big enough *detail*. Just one word, too long.

I`am the only one who think if there would be nice option to go with 180L and not refill to get fast pit stop like 5s to change fast tyres???

Ofcourse filling 180L slow you down quite lot and qualification times are lot worse.
So i think this could be a nice strategy add to game?

You can do it! You won't have a 5 second pitstop though, and I hardly believe you won't have to refuel as well!

But doesn't hurt trying!

Unless you're in Elite and have really good staff, it would never happen. Imagine as if your Amateur staff were just some regular mechanics whom you've hired to be your pit crew.
