Ferrari seemed to be back after their good showing at Monaco. That proved to be a false dawn. Hungary is nearly as slow as Monaco so I won't believe McLaren and Ferrari are back until I see them win at fast tracks like Spa and Monza. But if they are back to the top, then Button and Brawn may find that to their advantage to defend their championship leads.

Btw, are Red Bull and Webber getting investigated for their questionable pit release?

If Kimi gets a penalty.. Fia are Being too strict... If Kimi Doesn't get a penalty, The Fia could be known as Ferrari's International Assistance...

it's really an odd call... My opinion is he doesn't deserve the penalty.

If recent FIA rulings are anything to go by, Kimi will be penalized (Webber@Nurburgring, 2009) and Webber will not be penalized (Massa@Valencia, 2008). Although I found Webber's penalty harsh and undeserved.

Kimi was pushed wide by Webber and he couldn't avoid touching Vettel.

It says they broke the regulations - what exactly did they do wrong? Something to do with the wheel tether?

fail. Its stated it has to do with the wheel which came off, so nothing to do with any technologies.

Edit//No penalty for Raikönnen. Just found a German article saying that.

http://www.motorsport-magazin.com/formel1/news-81902-keine-s...

In this article also stands, that Red Bull got a warning for the Webber incident in the pits.

Bad news for Alonso to miss his 'home' GP.

But someone could get the sack and Fernando could get a 1 race deal... Maybe Nelson Piqu..... oh fail... :D

Alonso has an ironclad contract with Renault, Flavio Briatore is not only Renault's Principal but Alonso's Manager, Sara, what you are suggesting just isnt possible in my opinion.(I may be wrong)

Basically what it comes down to is that the stewards say Renault let alonso leave the pits whilst knowing the wheel may not be properly attached.

Now, this is hard to defend against, because at the time of release the front right wheel guy was looking at the spinner still and yet they released him.

Then if it is true that they did not inform him of the fact the wheel could come off when he said he thought it was a puncture then that is increadably negligent of them.

Be interesting to see how they argue this... guess all they can try is an arguement that if it was such a bad situation then why didnt the stewards black flag Alonso

p.s.
Misty, stop sulking because the top 2 teams have now got their act together. They both said they 6months behind in develpment so they exactly where they should be after 6months of the season.

Assume the worst and Massa is out for the rest of the season. Also assume that by renault being suspended they cant provide a car to fulfill the contract they have with alonso. So Alonso can say - sorry in breach of contract, break it and dive into the ferrari seat as quick as a flash.

I fully expect massa out for the season. And with a child on the way and being financially safe he may well decide it isnt worth risking his health anymore. Hope he feels like he can continue though because he a great personality around the paddocks and always happy to take interviews.

As for alonso to Ferrari. I highly doubt he can get out the contract due to a ban. It not like Renault choose to not compete in the race, they are not being allowed too. With the legal team in place i highly doubt that alonso can get out the contract, if he tried then Renault would take him to court and Ferrari wouldnt allow him to race without knowing the outcome of the case else if Renault win the case they would then go after Ferrari for taking him. etc.
