Play as your dad its not a problem Peter ;-)

MX5, Spec Racer Ford and Street Stock (avoid!!)

If you have not tried the SRF you might be better sticking with the MX5

COLE: Its started, plenty of practice left, I guess Qualifying will start in about 35 mins

Ok. I was searching for my controls again. It's a bit strange to operate from somewhere else...

Hope the initial calibration works.

Oh dear...

I installed the game under /Own documents/Games, but some files were just spilled to /Own documents, and the rest didn't get their own iRacing folder and was just thrown into the games folder, going somewhere between the LFS and rF folders:|

Now that I re-arranged them, the update moans not having installed them...

Great...

Should have done a iRacing folder before downloading it...

Yep, this is where you setups/replays/paint and other personal crap is stored. Needs to be there. Then a seperate folder in your games/program files for all the car/track main game stuff.

Great drive from Chris earlier, spoilt by one pillock who was wrecking but I guess thats the problem with giving out open entry to a race.

You nutters will have to do it again tomorrow so I can join ;)

Yeah David still getting used to the MX5 at Lime Rock. Always going off track :p But I am having to be aggressive to race it the way I like. But SR is easier to raise whilst in Rookie and on the road rather than Oval imo.

Finally Jundty youve joined :p Gonna have to beat you tomorrow :p

I re-started.

Put the downloads folder, which belongs to the iRacing folder, into that.

Worked. Went back to the site, and started it via service.

Works now again:)

It's under Own Documents/Games/iRacing(with all folders and stuff)

That was before I joined your server. Just watched.

So, no problems?

Went to the F1 Fun Zandvoort server, and did practice.

After serveral laps spinning with the Williams, I put in a 1:18.3

There is a knack to taking the turns quickly, however it is a track I tend to avoid along with Philip Island which for some reason I really don't like as well.

Better start practice at Zandvoort for the Williams tonight, best time so far with the iRacing set is about 1.17.5 and just under 1.17 for optimal time if I can string all the sectors together. Still 3 seconds off the fast chaps though ;-(

Zandvoort is the F1 track for this week (9 of 12 I think), its the main series I am dabbling with along with the occasional bit of Star Mazda. So some practice and maybe a time trial and qualify over next day or so, then race from Thursday onwards.

For me trying to race to many different cars in different classes is to tricky - it takes all my concentration to be average in one.

Yeah that can be a bitch. Im not a fan of Zandvoort so meh :\

Luckily I am quite adaptable. I usually quickly get up to my peak and stay there. I learn the track quickly and reach that peak quickly. Sometimes its a quick good peak but other times a slow, rubbish peak.

So my time wasn't that bad...

I reach a time at Lime Rock with the MX-5 of about 1:00.6 if I keep it on the road.

I will be going for this one as well ( I need to get my 8 races in for the 4 bucks ). I will try and push you along a bit, but I am a bit slow in this F1 car. If I can get under the 1.19, I will start warning you :o)

Thx again for hosting David, it was good fun chasing your times you put up in that Mazda. I thought you had me beat :o)

Mazda is a bit funny under the brakes. At Laguna, feels like youre locking up but you aint. Piece of crap.

MX5 at Lime Rock was actually really nice :D Shame weeks already over ;(
