If you want to play seriously, choose Football Manager 2010. If good graphics and lighter tactical variaty is something you like, choose FIFA.

I have played Football Manager (previously Championship Manager) series since CM 93 and really like it.

You dont think?
i have played both and thought they were both okay.. i do admit fifa definetly lacks the tatical strategy that makes mannagement games what they are.

SUGGESTION: Could we get a general "recommendations about computer games thread", instead of having a new one for each game with a poll attached?

On the contrary, I think we need a poll for every potential decision in life.

Which is better; cheese, or socks?

Oe great id.
If the majority of people agrees on something then it's always right.

I have played both series.

Fifa manager was a very good game for graphics and match play by adopting the Fifa games matchplay system. My favourite feature was by far the design feature. You could be as creative as you wanted with designing a kit for you team or even the stadium too! The stadium editor was literally immense and if it was in FM then that would be the best of the two! I would recommend this if you like the pleasing to the eye game and simple to set up quicker moving game.

Football manager has recently turned more into a micro manager game with such complexity of the options for everything but still the defaults work reasonably well if you cannot be bothered or haven't the time. But with FM10 there are new simple 'wizards' that set up the tactics for you depending on the simple inputs you put in. Of course you can still override this with the complex options but this is a feature I am much anticipating! I would recommend this one if you were into complex games and enjoy a challenging 'realistic' game.

In conclusion, they are both just as good in different ways!

Never liked FIFA Manager, don`t know why.

I personally find FM better than FIFA Manager, but if it`s like the last two games, FM08 and FM09, I think I`ll keep on playing FM07.

yes that's true cause fm07 and 08 are allmost the same and 09 is buggy shit.

Screens look cool to me so, i will give it a chance
