I'll scream "last call" and then throw 1 (and only ONE) very cold Guinness between the two of them and watch a truly motivated scuffle.

Well, I don't want anyone getting decapitated in the process so I kept the stakes a little (just a little) bit lower; but I like your thought process.

Everyone is entitled to their view. :)

In my opinion, some of what David said is accurate, most is not, and a lot is not in the proper context when he has quoted it without the other discussion from other people around it.

All of what I've said is on topic though :)

I don't deny giving my opinion of Jaguar when Chinmay left but this is a team discussion thread and that was the big team news at the time so I won't make any apologies for discussing it. Should I only post if I have something nice to say? :)

Everything else David has quoted me saying has already been covered.

I do take exception to being accused of "false flattery" though. I won't give out any compliments unless I feel they are justified. In fact, if you look hard enough you will probably find I have said in the past that Jaguar were one of the very few teams I would ever consider joining (I may be wrong - but I'm pretty sure I made that statement public).

So I stand by what I have said about the current Jaguar team looking like a good group of guys to be in a team with due to their attitude and sense of humour, although it will take them time to get back to the top of the team standings again, but they have the knowledge to help any good manager get to Elite.

I stand by what I have said about Leo being an excellent manager, and I very much enjoy his debating and discussion on the public forum, but I can understand why this would not suit everyone in a team situation, and I wish him all the best in THE 10 and don't doubt he will be successful there.

You are so wrong.

Sorry, but I don't believe this for even 1 second. There are only 2 people who thought he was the TL at any time... the rest all knew he was just holding the number 1 spot.

If you don't want to expose the source of your team gossip Kevin, you should try to get a complete view of the whole situation before you "disclose" information. Trying to bluff your way into protecting your sources after having overexposed them already, actually makes you dig the proverbial hole even deeper...

Because they might need it to give their over-exposed banks complete guarantee next time they fail? :p

May I say how entertaining you guys are?

Well except for the guy who gives thumbs down to everyone. Would he/she care to come forward?

Anyway, I love seeing you guys getting at each other. Though I must say things have quiet down quite a bit... I don't mean any disrespect, though sometimes I feel like saying «come on, let it go. that is just a game». But really I think this thread is one of the most interesting in this forum.

*************

I don't know much, so I will not try to make a deep and definite comment on any team. Instead I would like to throw a question and see what you experts thinks about it, okay?

There has been a lot of comments on Jaguar and how long it will take for them to be dominating again. Currently Jan Pavlicek is leading his group. Kostas Farsalinos is number 3 in Pro-7 and Greg Swaney is number 4 in Amateur-14.

The discussion about Ireland pennies led me to look at Jaguar team members finances. None of them has fewer than 34 millions in the bank and Paul Gardiner has a whoppy 108 millions in bank in the master category, mind you.

So, what do you guys make of it. Does it look to you that this team could make the top 10 again soon? How about as soon as this season or the next? I am not saying, I am just asking, cause I am nothing but a noob who would like to learn more.

The floor is yours. Many thanks to all who will care to comment. :)

Sometimes I wonder how old are you for real people... leaders, true leaders, captains, inspirational leaders, iron fist leaders, etc, etc, etc.

This is just a game, why this thread sounds like a political nightmare about who said what, when or how? Common, if you really are the ones behind your profile pictures, I feel in the need to say you're getting it wrong, many of you don't look like a little teenager with nothing else to do rather than posting here.

Nevermind, like I care, have fun in the way you like to have fun, nobody makes me read nothing but just needed to express it somewhere.

Exactly my thoughts. :)

Those who wanted to undertand already understood what I meant. Dominating as in being a bona fide containder. As finiishing within the Top 10 teams. As they did for five seasons since season 12. That kind of dominating. Let see:

Jaguar

Season # Final position Points total
Season 25 52nd 406.2663
Season 24 45th 425.2663
Season 23 38th 434.8667
Season 22 7th 635.2
Season 21 7th 636.4663
Season 20 42nd 423.1331
Season 19 34th 447.7997
Season 18 27th 498.9998
Season 17 4th 734.1994
Season 16 8th 654.6002
Season 15 22nd 478.0663
Season 14 10th 592
Season 13 88th 116.6
Season 12 70th 118.4

Beats the heck out of, say... Ochaye Thanoo F1 whose best record was 16th place way back in seasons 6 and 7. Admitedly though, Jaguar record is not as impressive as S.E.X Drivers' with their 6 top 10 finishes including a 1st place in season 10 and another 6 seasons in the 15, but one can argue that Jaguar has been one of the dominating teams over the course of its history.

So the question stands: what do you make of their current status as an indication of whether or not and how soon they can be bona fide containders (i.e. dominating) again?
