Still, the Ferrari suffers on harder tires, like last year. :( Reasonable on softer compound, but it seems it cannot generate enough heat into the harder tires.

What an awesome race. A faultless drive by Button while Vettel & Hamilton drove well for podiums. I feel sorry for Maldonado, he had driven brilliantly up until that last lap error. The biggest buzz for me though was having 2 Aussies in the points for the first time in F1 history. I think the championship will be a race in 4 but the midfield battle will be an absorbing battle between quite a few drivers

Mercedes is like last season. Fast in the first laps, then somehow car fades away.

I thought it was a great race. Yes, Button led from the front and never really looked back but there was action everywhere else which is always good. Think Sky F1 did a very good job, apart from Croft's problems with Maldonado and Kobayashi getting mixed up a couple of times.

Very happy to see Kamui in 6th place after he managed to hold off Raikkonen in what one would assume is a much faster car, although the way Brundle was talking it up, the front teams are a little worried about Sauber (and for good reason too with the times Perez was setting in particular). Would be very pleased to see them become the 4th/5th team while Ferrari seem to be struggling.

The pace Massa is doing, it's easy to do that mistake.

Agree, Massa was good, but Ferrari needs to replace him fast and Perez is a very good option to start with ..... Alonso will give all he has

Vey happy for Kimi, from 10th to 7th in the last lap, the man still has speed at any cost, badluck for Grosjean but he will recover

Very dissapointed by the Mercedes, to be honest the biggest dissapointment for the day!!!

Redbulls are that far behin McLarens and McLarens fans should not get carried away with the season oppener will go on to win the title ...........

*Me during the last lap, shows a stricken Williams*

"Maldo...? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Just when he was shutting up the critics;(

It saddensa the fact that Sauber scored brilliant double points and 3rd in the constructors for me, I hoped Pastor would do it, even threatening Alonso, mighty Alonso...

Great pace by Button, even though I missed the first 20 laps.

Also sad for Grosjean, I didn't see it, but it sounds like a race accident...

Just a thought but was Perez and Rosberg's damage from running over all the parts left by Maldonado's wreck? they did make contact later but it was minimal and didn't look enough to give a puncture on Rosbergs car.

Don't tell me, i think i woke up everyone in a scream of rage :P

Alonso said that he was really afraid of losing the position to Pastor at the end and was feeling quite the pressure, not sure if being kind or what, not that Pastor actually attempted a real overtake....

He wasn't going anywhere though:D

Next time Pastor please. Could have scored already more points than last season...

Good Job Button, showing that is can out drive Hamilton on the day. Vettel had a good race had some luck, but to be fair he would have got hamilton anyways. Great drive but Alonso, i dont like him at all but he is a decent driver.

Very impressed by Williams, unlucky but looking good for the season, Kimi did a great job.

Looking good for another Mclaren and Red Bull season, but they may have to work for it with the like of lotus, Williams, Mercedes and Alonso doing well, Massa need to throw the towel in, never really rated him as a good driver.

Sorry to say but Hamilton is a sore looser, very moody on the podium after the race, he got out driven today by his team mate and Vettel.... Really wish Hamilton could be more proffessional and still put on a happy face ( also it actually a good thing Massa is off the pase, that way Hamilton cant crash into him ;)..) just playing, Hamilton is a "good" driver if he can mature a little and control his emotions he can be great, look at Button pure class driver, even when he is upset he controls himself and fights hard.

I dont even like kimi, alonso or Button, but they have proved themselves to be great drivers, alonso is very hot headed, but can back that up with great driving... Hamilton can learn alot from alonso.. btw Webber not a bad race, think he should look for another drive, why?? he will never get out of Vettels shadow in Red Bull as he just doesnt have the ability too.

Anyways thats my thoughts :) hope you all in enjoyed the race and lokking forward to the next one :)

It's absurd that he's still at Ferrari to be honest...has not been remotely on the pace since 2009; whether it's down to the accident at Hungary, the handling characteristics of modern day cars or whatever else, there's no excuse for a top team to hang to a driver who's consistently a second a lap off his team mate's pace.

Just watched the race on tape delay and as a Button fan I'm stoked. He was dominant, now on to the title Jens!

Too bad about Maldonado at the end, looks like it was his own fault though.

Some said it looked unnatural the way he lost it when he was fine all the 57 laps before. Maybe something broke?

But I'll wait for more information.

I don't like Maldonado and never will, just like Jed will never like Hamilton. I thought he raced very well today to get to the position but he gain showed over aggression. First he took out Grosjean and then decided to say there wasn't enough contact to put the frenchman out...but what happened? #slightignorance

Then for some reason he wiped himself out in a wall which has hardly ever been hit by another car and again lied in his interview by saying he wasn't pushing at all to overtake Alonso which i think he could have. Just like Jed will say about Lewis, Maldonado is a constant lier when ever he is involved in someone retiring.
