With the 40 cars grid taking nearly half the track length on short tracks like Jyllands or Fiorano, I wonder if those starting at the back of the grid need extra half a lap in the tank ;)

That's something that's always triggered me about finishing 5 laps behind the leader. Still having to fill the tank the same amount although you're completed 15+km less just doesn't sit well with me... ;)

If you watch the new viewer, you will see all the cars keep on completing all the laps even when the winner has finished.

This may make 90% rule even more confusing though.

In the early versions all cars started from the finish line and just went off with 0,5s intervals, but it didn't look too good.

didn't notice a 0.5s offset, for all of them moving at constant speed towards start line ;)

Awesome work from all involved! I can't wait to watch a live race with this new screen.

The only downside is that now I won't be able to take my eyes away from the race whereas before I only had to check every ~2 minutes haha! :)

Jukka, on the manager initials view, one manager on my race screen comes up with a load of numbers:

Jukka, the cars overlap each other on the zoomed in car view...is that just because the cars are expanded from the 300% view while the graphic itself is not expanded?? I assume you know about this already :p

Yeah, it's mostly just checking the tyres and seeing the livery better. The background image quality would suffer if it was doubled. And you wouldn't see too much anyway. But maybe we can think about having a mega zoom level.

The liveries are 50% and 100% of the old race screen size at the moment. 100% just look quite big as they are so close to each other and track is narrow for them.

Gotta really love the feature, fantastic job on it!

I just have a personal request, which can be helpful for some manager, maybe having a checkbox in the gaps list to see all managers name once, instead of clicking on them individually. Might be useful to see who's the one you just overrun a lap. Just a simple idea ^^

I see. Maybe 75% view on the zoom in might be best than 100% then. I agree, it does look quite oversized there at the moment.

It looks rather bad if there are rows of checkboxes. But if hiding is not that important, maybe we could get rid of it or switch it with name showing.

Great work! Just wanted to present a few suggestions.

1. Provide a few different replay speeds. (ie. 1x, 1.4x, 2x, 4x, etc.).

2. Looks like the commentary box has been done away with. But, I think this could be a good feature. Viewer could pause race and commentary box could display key points for each lap which can be skipped through. (ie. Lap 5 - 1/3 - 0:25.438 - "Car B has overtaken Car A for the lead". Then you click next button to skip to the next point. Lap 5 - 2/3 - 0:59.396 - "Car F tries to overtake Car E." Back to previous point or next. Lap 5 - 3/3 - 1:23.499 - "Car M just melted." Then go on to next lap, etc.)

3. Currently, highlighting cars shows the names. I'd prefer a check box to simply show or hide all names. Highlighting a car should make the names a different colour or something.

4. Would be good to have this integrated into the testing and practice sessions with ghost laps so that you can maybe see where individual settings changes are effecting certain characteristics.

This is already provided I believe with the settings tab on the left :) You can change between 1 to 10 :p

Click the gear button underneath the flag/name of the track :)

Could be. But where to put it? And maybe there are other issues too.

The viewer works currently only on lap times (and mistake and pit data) and the lap time calculation is probably just some sort of function of car, driver and setup and random factor. So making a different kind of car, driver or setup work differently in different parts of the track would be a massive task and change to the game.
