24hrs until the form closes for this part of the organization.
The dates will be confirmed around 8pm tomorrow.
I'll keep the spreadsheet open after the deadline but will remove the need for the dates and we'll get an idea of the activities that people want to do.
So just a quick roundup of the events currently on offer.
Firstly, The Belgian GP will be on this weekend - which we will be enjoying with a pub lunch and a few beers. The Race is definitely going to be watched. The qualifying is optional depending on what people want.
"Raceland is the largest outdoor leisure karting circuit in Scotland, and offers groups a real racetrack experience, day or night, on it’s fully floodlit 930metre long, 7metre wide, tarmac circuit. The track is a fantastic mix of fast flowing corners, tight hairpins, and a long downhill straight. The karts are 270cc Sodi Karts, capable of up to 70mph, with lap times of over 60 seconds per lap (even for experienced drivers)."
Bubble Football | http://www.bubblesoccerscotland.co.uk/ | £20 per player for 1hr (can be extended to 2hrs if we want) "Bubble Football is the revolutionary new sport & Bubble Soccer Scotland are the FIRST to bring this activity to Scotland. We currently operate throughout various sports venues in Scotland including Inverclyde, Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen. If you can't make it to any of our venues then simply hire your own & we will come to you."
Bowling | http://www.worldofbowling.com/unlimited-bowling | £10 for as long as we like! "No GPRO Meeting is complete without a night bowling. Drinking beer and getting the odd JUNBALL! in. The added bonus to the price of here is that it's literally the same building as the Bubble Football!
Shows | https://www.edfringe.com/ | £10 - £15 per show "Here we have the freedom to go and see any and as many shows that take our fancy. We went to 2 shows last year, one of which has people coming back for a second helping!
So on top of all those things to do. You're in an awesome environment to eat, drink, be merry and to chat about the game that brought us all together. Unlike when you're at work or uni trying to explain what a Technical Director does!
Now starting to work out numbers for the events and accommodation (for a potential block booking - Although I cannot guarantee anything), so in an ideal scenario, I'd like you to be able to confirm or deny whether you can do this, and what events you (and people you bring should you do so) wish to do. However I know that this isn't always the case so if you can get back to me before the end of May (Primarily for the accommodation side of things) on how certain you are to being able to go, That'll be fantastic.
We're getting close to booking the karting. Due to the fact we're unlikely to get 16 people for the karting. We will be taking part in the public karting race held on the Saturday morning,
There's more than 10 places still available and so far I believe we have 7 people interested.
As for the bubble football, we could have as many as 9 which means we're 1 short for a good game of 5-a-side.
Karting will cost £55 and football will cost £20. But the banter, is priceless!
