I don't see the benefits of fav tracks, IMHO the benefit of them is to small over a whole season. Especially when you don't pay attention to the minor details.

Fav tracks have more benefits if you are trying to retain and you might not have the best car or driver. So on fav track race you have a lot more chance to get some points.

In my previous ama seasons I actually did not notice, but theoretically you should be right. Still I managed to retain with or without fav tracks. And I am pretty sure I didn't have the best car or driver

Fav tracks definitely makes a difference and it has helped me to retain a few times already by scoring points in a single race that was at my fav track :)
The other races I couldn't even get close!

What i meant was, Fav track give a bit bigger advantage than normaly, surely you don't need FT to retain, but they give you a extra boost in Q-s especially if you are not promoting, and more speed in races. 0.X better times are better than nothing :P

Well this calendar offers me a lot of track that I like in the game (for personal experience) and also in RL

2. Kyalami (South Africa) : had my first 100 CT race (was in Rookie) .. finished 4th with 7 stops , beat that :oP

3. Brands Hatch (United Kingdom) : my first ever wet race .. reached a 2nd place with F1 United livery in honour of Jeff Garcia , definitely one of my favourites

4. Spa (Belgium) : my favourite RL track , simply perfect in every aspect :)

5. Kaunas (Lithuania) : probably one of my best 1 stop races since I joined , everything was absolutely perfect

6. Paul Ricard (France) : my driver's FT .. no other explanations needed :oP

8. Monza (Italy) : best italian F1 track and that straight .. oooh that damn straight :oP

9. Mexico City (Mexico) : my first Amateur podium ever , chills :)

10. Buenos Aires (Argentina) : my first ever race started on dry tyres on a wet track , but in the end it paid and I won with a minute gap .. saved the replay :)

14. New Delhi (India) : last race of my S40 Rookie promotion season .. I was able to run 50 CT and won with almost 2 minutes gap .. chills again , perfect!

I did not had enough time to check all the circuits in regards of wear on car parts, but if this is even near to what we had on season 42, this is going to be a nightmare in terms of costs.
The problem is that having a costy season kills the new people.
I will take me as sample:
I'm in my third season:
first one was a crappy one just to start knowing things, get a tool, join a team...
second one was more serious, I changed pilot for a good one, did training and preparation for s42
third season (current one), trying to get promoted with at least a "usable" car and a "not so bad" pilot.
The thing is: to do that, I will be promoted with literally no money at all!! This is how costly this is right now!
Being brutally honest, I'm almost giving up, because the only way to have enough money is by winning (not really winning, but ending in the top 10). But the only way to win is to invest in the car and pilot, which requires more and more money every season. Frustrating...
Just putting out my misery...
