As the title says, I think having two entries per manager would:

* Allow new players to get easily comparible deltas and comparisons in their data
* Double the rate at which new players learn the game
* Adds more entertainment to the racing as you have two guys to cheer for
* Should massively reduce the number of DAs, since people will already have two entries
* Can expand on the games' decision making, see below

> More financial management needed - do you build one great car at the expense of the other, and how does the 2nd driver act in response?
> Can run interesting strategies in the race, perhaps different tyres or number of stops, or different fuel levels

I'm fully expecting to be shot down here, give me your worst...Michael...

Been there, done that, didn't like it so I ignored it :P

Perhaps there's going to be some monkeys out there still with DA, but every game in history has that problem somewhere along the line. Here I think the problem is endemic!

It would be awesome for those not having DA to be able to gather dtat more effectively and faster. As for DA it would maybe just do what Rui says also but maybe would also increase the learning curve for new players that can see certain angles and keep them interseted. The biggest problem i can see would be in the later groups, especially elite where you can use the 2nd driver to force to front, block 100% and only let team mate past, giving them that reach the front the advantage if only a few seconds but still.... Arguably, everyone would be able to do this but still.

The idea seems a good one to tackle down double accounts. Players who are starting and want more data will less likely look for a DA if they can test with one of their cars.

However, it seems to have some downsides, as:

- the best strategy will be the same: one car generating money in Amateur, and one car drinking all the profits on higher leagues. Whoever has the "best" Amateur group will have the advantage with the other car.
- I would feel less "connected" to my car
- it would take more time than I'd want (planning strategies, doing qualifying, ...)_

There might be other more viable ways to reduce DA, like every new players to receive X races of data/tutorial on how to store the data and make it useful/...

I've no idea if it's a huge problem or not, but I very much doubt there are that many DAs around, uncaught, at the higher levels of the game - such cases are well known and become big deals, but what percentage of the game does it really represent? And how many "DAs" are caught and dealt with quickly that no one ever hears of?

I don't know, care to dish the dirt Kevin? Go on, you know you want to.

Edit: Just realised we're roomies this season, does that bring any forum benefits?

I genuinely have no clue - it's not something I'm at all involved in.

No forum benefits, but you've just gained a position every race that you might not have had if someone decent had my spot :p

I just got here (2 races completed) and, imho, 2 cars would help in some ways but not in others. First off, the more experienced racers would beat me twice over! I'd likely repeat the mistakes I'm about to make on both sides of the garage.

I could see a branch-off 2-car series starting at Pro level....players could elect to go either way. Add something to enhance team tactics (blocking, rabbit starts, testing benefits cross-over, et al).

If you really want something like this, I know of another racing management game that does exactly this; however, I cannot share the URL here cuz GPRO is picky like that.

Maybe if they blacklisted the website here, that could explains why they don't copy their ideas ? :v
