How many times can Verstappen change lines and not get in trouble from the stewards??
That was Ricciardo's position and that idiot Verstappen took them both out by weaving in front of a much faster car :(

Two races in a row Bottas deserves to win but doesn't get it. Bad luck Bottas.

Edit: well maybe he wouldn't have led in the first place without the SC, maybe Vettel deserved the win even more (until his stupid mistake at the restart)

Not to mention Ricciardo had already let him go once to avoid an accident earlier on.

Red Bull should of told Verstappen to get out the way long ago and they would of had a decent result as he had held up Riccardo for a long time IMO

Totally agree Peter, it was a very poor performance by Verstappen and should be recognised by the stewards and the Red Bull team

Maybe its not so obvious, that it was Verstappen's fault (altough imo it was), but again he is involved in some kind of accident. He is trouble magnet at this point and i dont know for how long they can take it in Red Bull.

Unlucky for Vettel again, and also for Bottas. Good race overall to watch.

As far as I know that rule doesn't exist anymore. Commentators also saying drivers can change the line more than once again, they are only supposed to leave space for the car coming from behind

It is allowed, it was also allowed 4-5 years ago before they invented this bullshit rule..changing directions while braking is what's not allowed, and that's what Verstappen did wrong. But honestly Ric also went for a gap that wasn't there.

And cmoooon guys don't blame Verstappen, he made this race interesting once again, he's the best thing that's happened to f1 in the last couple of years i swear

I agree that he has a lot of talent. But talent alone is not enough in F1. No team manager does want a driver that has 5 DNF's a season because of stupid kamikaze actions.

If there is a race incident, then Verstappen is Always involved. This is no coincidence anymore.

I think they'll let let it go as a racing incident but Max will to need to have a think about risk v reward of that type of defence in that situation and Daniel will also need to have a think if all or nothing dives down the inside are the way to go.

Interesting race though.

Keep blaming VER all, so easy.
Ric passed twice on outside there but now wants to go on inside with a dummy
Did VER move before braking, yes, but that is allowed and not the issue here

Not the issue here? lol... :D

Edit: but I'm glad that most people accept that he moved under braking. Verstappen himself has just denied he did any such thing.

Also i think on 2 occassions it looked like Ricciardo did let Max go, or otherwise they could have finished race in similar fashion many laps sooner.

I didn't say we need him because of his talent. Surely, he's really talented, but we need him because of his reckless driving, he keeps bringing colour to the races, and I love that! :D

I don't know the feasibility of this, but give an ultimatum to Max. That's 3 incidents in 3 races -- Hamilton in Bahrain, Vettel in China, and now Ricciardo here in Baku. Tell him one more and give him more than a slap on the wrist -- pop somebody up in his seat for a race. Send him a message he can't ignore. It's his style, but if he crashes every race what's the point of having a driver?
