How did you come to that conclusion???
He is talking about raising funds to improve the live race screen. (Which, by the way, I don't think is necessary)

I think you could certainly rent or buy a nice livery if you want to donate some cash to GPRO. So we already have that part. How about some pit girls? or an all-girl pit crew for bit more?

Fair enough, I assumed he was talking about current items to purchase 'in app' meaning in game, such as shirts, caps etc.

in-app, me thinks :-D

Maybe not "pay-to-win" but some monetization, like the recently introduced livery market.

Good. The gearshift is along with the sound.

You could have posted a video with an overtaking. :)

I made a similar proposal few months ago to add sounds. My proposal was to include various type of sounds from go-cart to a Ferarri V12, of course only the go-cart is free, you must be supporter to use the others.

I like the idea of sounds with the race viewer. Might be difficult to implement. Think they're still getting a handle on all the track layouts.

I'm sure sounds was on the list to implement later.

lol.

But I get where he's coming from. If you want music on in background etc.

A music link to play over the race could be cool. They have one in Skype. Could be a lot to ask.

You can also mute site.

That way you don't have to mute tab again in every race. (it also remembers the selection)
