Yes, of course. It's only because I change my name. It's not your fault...

Some interesting views

http://www.bbc.com/sport/amp/football/43529009

I shall also be looking very closely at the Excel spread sheet I have to work out the scoring system and what we shall or shall not use.

I will post whenever I have worked it all out

OK guys and Gals, I have had a little think on this one and want your opinions on a couple of things before we decide exactly what score system we go with. I cannot change any of the way it works it all out so we have to go with the formats already laid out.

I don’t suppose it matters too much on the correct results points (A – F) as long as there is that slight difference. (I will leave out Penalty’s as explained below)

As far as the Bonus Points (1 – 15) goes, I want your opinions. These are already configured in the spread sheet but it is a matter of whether you want them in.

I would go against 9 - 12 because that would mean you have to give a score for ALL the Group matches and then having done that, work out who plays who in the next few rounds, what the score is and then so on right up till the Final. Make a slight error and it knocks everything else out of the window. I think it is much better to take each match as it comes….but I leave that to you.

I have also tried “fiddling” with the penalty shoot out options and I cannot work out how to enter the penalty results so that it gives you the bonus points and believe me I have tried every possible combination, so I am going to leave this one out. If a team wins and you predict the FINAL result correctly – you get the points

The rest I will keep in if you are happy as all you have to do is nominate for 13 - 15 .......... However these MUST be done right at the beginning of your prediction …. The rest are already programmed in the sheet.

Summary

Let me know the following

1… Happy with Points system A – I (Excluding G/H/I)
2… Happy with Points System 1 – 8
3… Do you want 9 - 12 IN or OUT
4… Do you want 13 - 15 IN or OUT

Use this template if you wish (Just add your preference)

1. Yes or No
2. Yes or No
3. In or Out
4. In or Out

EDIT Best Player and Top Goalscorer can be who you want to nominate and these are decided by FIFA and of course whomever scores the most goals at the end of the World Cup.
