Nice touch that Jasper - thanks.

Officially put myself forward to manage England for another season...not a bad effort to be top of the league and reach the final this time around, if I do say so myself :P

Decider it is then @Ricardo Antunes (A28) - though I'm hoping we can avoid losing by 6 points and get the League at least! :)

I have set up your candidacy to be captain in all of those countries, but please note that in order to merge, a manager from each country has to support you. The easiest way is to get them to go to the World Cup site and vote for you (deadline: Saturday 12:00 GPRO time). If they miss the voting deadline, sending me a PM is okay.

Unlucky @Ricardo Antunes (A28) - cracking final though, really well done to get to that point!

Meanwhile thanks to the whole England team for their efforts - really appreciate how many of you pushed when you didn't necessarily have to, in order to see us get through the various rounds :)

I understand that, without my agreement, Jonathan Beagles has put out a forum post late this afternoon that I am organizing knighthoods and parades for them soon. This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with him on the matter. There will be no knighthoods or parades organized by me in 2022.

Season 89: additional knock-out round?

For Season 89, we have an overwhelming number of 28 countries with a Team Captain. I'm pretty sure that's a record! Thank you all for your participation.

This leads me to think it might be nice to add an extra knock-out round to the competition, running from R3 to R5 just like the first round of your regular GPRO cup.

R1-R2 would serve as races to determine the seeding (instead of R1-R5 which is the case under the existing format). The top 4 in the standings after R2 would get a bye in the first round. The top 8 would get seeded, with the remaining countries drawn randomly.

Any thoughts?

Yes, let's do it!

This means everyone is guaranteed a place in the knock-out bracket, so the impact of this late change on your strategy is not too profound. The only thing it might change is who gets which seed.

Why i've not see it before :)

This will not make big changes, only for teams who wait 2 races before pick their managers !
