22 countries with a captain this season. I confirm that we will run this season's edition the 'classic' way, i.e. the knock-out phase will start with the top 16 countries after Race 5.

Welp - totally messed up this season, was setting up to have 2 variable drivers, picked rando's to get down to selecting short term drivers - got interrupted and didn't come back in time to finish it.
.......
Will salvage best I can.

For next season, or now if it can help somes to join, i think you have to up the manager limit for merged countries at 100, or à total merging not exed 200.
under this number, a lot of countries doen't have any chance to make something (except sweden who already reach 1/2 finals)
This can up the level of the competition with somes teams like Sweden/Finland/Norway/Iceland 😆

@Jasper Coosemans (E) Will we be able to see the Round of 16 take place on the site this season? Or will it just be in the thread again? Can't see any bracket on the site yet... :/

There will be no 1/16 finals as explained by Jasper on October 21 (see above). Therefore the preliminary round will be played from GP 1 to GP5. The first 16 countries after the first 5 GP of the season will be qualified for the 1/8 finals.

I don't understand why we are confusing the issue and not using the Team Model with the 32 teams.
Where there is a gap in the 1st round 32/16, the lucky Team passes without a struggle. So simple.-

I think Jasper had to update his site and he didn't have the time to do it until now...So this season it was decided to stay at 5 preliminary races

Patrick I say this, why should it start after 5 races on 16/8 and not start normally in the 2 races now, that is, on 32/16? at some point the teams may become 35-40, the logic is to start with the 2 races 32/16/8/4/2/1 like the Team Cup.

It's also dépendant on how many teams are playing.
Big nations with 3-4 can have a bye round of 32 and this not really changes anything.
Up the limit for merging can have a big impact on strategies !

We have 22 participants this season. In a round of 32, we would have 10 empty spots and only the bottom 12 countries playing against each other. It doesn't seem very exciting to me. I think at least 24 participants are needed in order to make it worthwhile to make a bracket with 32 countries.
