So I will be attending on Friday 23rd and flying back on Sunday as JB has found that flights are nicer on Sunday than they will be on Monday if we stay at Barcelona to watch the F1. I think JB and Macca might do the same. Not sure about the others in the UK though.

Yep. I received an email, but it was a generic one. I need to contact them by phone to get details and booking sessions

About travelling to Indoor Karting Barcelona, which is in another little town outside Barcelona we have some options.

1. Train to that city, which leave you for a 25minutes walk to get to the karting plus the time youd be on the train
2. Bus: Which last 1 hour from Center of Barcelona(or places people are looking to book for staying the night).
3. Get taxis: Which should cost around 25-30€ max. Sharing it every 4 people and paying around 6-7€/person. Around 20-25mins travel.

Id say option 3 its the best IMO.

Any thought on this matter? Everybody agrees?

Not quite for me - I am arriving on Saturday morning (friend's wedding on Friday so I can't miss that) and leaving on Monday now :)

Best outdoor kartings are very far away from Barcelona...around 100km which are placed in Gerona, Tarragona, Castelloli.

There are a couple of outdoor karting around 45km from Barcelona, no public transport to get there, only taxis or minibuses to book id say(if that option exists ofc). Both places are in Cardedeu and Lliça de Vall 5km away one from another. Prices looks like slightly lower but to travel there would be a lot more expensive...

You also would lose the option to play some bowling or laser tag and losing more time to get there. Also the equipment looks like worse.

Brilliant news - always better with a couple of people organising.

One of the best meetings ever was Estonia IMHO when Erik and Signe organised it :)

Don't know whether it is of any importance at all, but maybe just for your information: I will arrive on Thursday and fly back home on Monday. Was just once in Barcelona so far and missed some sightseeing. Didn't even manage to see the La Sagrada Familia. This time I will, therefore I stay a little bit longer :)

Long time since I played the game, but I happen to be in Barcelona that weekend to consume silly amounts of beer, tapas and GT. It's an annual get together for us in Barcelona, 8th year we do it now...

If some parts of the meeting is drinking beers at BierCab, GT at rooftop bar at Catalunya Museum in harbor or having cava at La Xampanyeria it's a good chance you'll see me around :)

I'll most likely not be taking part in regular activities like carting and such, unless it can be fitted in to our schedule (which already is fully packed). But sharing a beer or drink during day/evenings or have breakfast together should probably be doable.

I definitely want to participate this meeting. It's been a while since last one. Also 23rd in October is my birthday so I think Barcelona might be a good place to celebrate it (never been there though).

And for everyone planning to go to the meeting, if I got the infp right they've postpone the marathon to the same weekend, and it's usually a big beer festival there as well, means hotels has already started to become very expensive.

It's the Mash Craft Beer Festival I'm referring to, last 2 years it has been that weekend.
