This might have to be a 3 season in a row saved from relegation job here :S

Congratulations Kyle. I have no way to relegate to the lower division ...

And now, for the final standings!

In a battle of first-season teams, it's Gary Mullins's Halesowen Town side that jumps Adam Harter's Gotham FC side to take the automatic promotion slot into the Championship! For Mullins, it's a long-awaited return to the Championship after last being there in Seasons 13 and 14. On the other side it's surely a disappointment for Harter after leading Division South for the entire season -- however he'll still have the play-off route awaiting him if he can right the ship! Joining him in the play-offs will be Palestino, who jump in at the last minute!

First-season teams with experienced managers rule the day in Division, as Finn Shaw-McIver returns to FP League with Tranmere Rovers after departing in Season 22, and grabs the automatic promotion spot at the first time of asking! It will be his first time back in the Championship since Season 22, and the 2-time Premier League runner-up will be looking to keep up the momentum in Season 31. And after falling out of the top spot, Cardiff City will now be looking to make it through the play-off route to end their season stay in Division. Joining them will be Reggina, who have found a steady hand in Sonny Long after a manager crisis early in the season.

By and large, the story stays the same in the Championship as both LionsXII and Motril CF win to secure places in the Premier League for next season. For LionsXII, it's an immediate bounceback after relegation from the Premier League in Season 29. For Motril CF, it's their first foray into the deep waters of the Premier League after 6 seasons in FP League -- will all of their extra experience from friendlies help them to make it stick?

And finally, it turns out that one is the number for VVV Venlo! One goal vs. Rapid KL is enough to earn the one point that Stefan Gommans needs to once again finish number one! For VVV Venlo and Stefan, it's their 7th Premier League title. Congratulations Stefan! Having finished just short, Liverpool and manager Jon Beagles are likely distraught, but have improved on their 5th place finish from last season. And for last season's champion, Cambuur, a 3rd place finish is a valiant effort by manager Wopke Hoekstra in a pressure-filled defense campaign. With everyone hitting their strides -- the Premier League race could be interesting next season!

And with that, let's take a look back at Stefan's career in FP League! For the 7th time, he sits atop the FP League world, having previously won Premier League titles in S16, S18-20, and S22-23. This title sees a resurgence for his VVV Venlo side after (by his standards) some middling seasons, and even a brief dip into the Championship -- his first since way back in Season 10, when he was on the fast track from Division into the Premier League in 2 seasons with successive promotions.

In addition, this 7th title draws him equal with Rafael Mantovani on number of titles all-time. Will next season be the one where he breaks the record? Does this title signify a new reign atop for one of the GOATs of FP League? There's only one way to find out......

Congratulations to the Season 30 Premier League Champion -- VVV Venlo & Stefan Gommans!!

Ofcourse, I finished this Season with a draw. Although my predictions sucked this time so that was lucky.

27 goals, the second most (nice one Jon there) of ALL teams... Yet neither promotion nor relegation - Man this Season was frustrating :D

Congratulations Stefan!

As in the rules posted in the first post of the thread:

Quote ( Greg Tierney @ August 3rd 2021,17:46:25 )

In Season 30, two teams will automatically relegated from Premier League and two teams will automatically promote from Championship. 8th place from Premier League will have a play-off match against 3rd from Championship. There will be two automatic relegations from Championship and the division winners from Division North and South will promote automatically. 2nd from Div North will play 3rd from Div South; 3rd from Div North will play 2nd from Div South and those match winners will play 7th and 8th from Championship (7th will play the Division team that is 'lower' in the standings of the two.)

Wouldve been interesting if the WatfordvPalace game couldve changed anything in any division, like if me and Richard picked different, and i had guessed correctly, i'd have survived, who knows :D

oh, OK.

So, correct me if I'm wrong here - I'll play Adam in the semis (which is David v Goliath, really), then if I win that, I'll play my ex team leader - could of been worse ! I mean, if I played against Kyle & beat him, well... Let's just say, it was a Shropshire derby...

Just an update: First play-off round will be posted after the new year, to be played on January 8th-9th. Enjoy your new year celebrations :)

And don't worry -- the confirmation period/off-season between now and S31 will be quicker than normal to make up for the delays. I appreciate everyone's flexibility.
