Quote ( Piotr Szmit @ June 2nd 2017,20:10:40 ) Finally I know what is wrong with this new live screen. I don`t hear the sound of the engine when I`m focusing on my car. In wasn`t a problem in static screen, but I can`t stop thinking about it now :D try to add sound yourself ;P It's like vrrrrrrrrr... vrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmm :P

Jukka,
I think someone did mention something about changing the tire colors in earlier posts to reflect incidents, but watching the race last night made me think of something else that might be useful in the new Live race screen:
Instead of changing the colors of the tires why not the little flag that pops up when you are been lapped?
For example:
Blue Flag: (Lapped) Grey Flag: (Bad tires) Yellow Flag: (Technical Problem)
Then you can even have a combination of these for example:
Blue/grey flag Blue/Yellow flag Grey/Yellow flag etc!!!!!!
It will just make it much easier & quicker to identify cars which have some sort of problem/issue in a race.
I know a lot will say you can zoom in and all other type of hints, but with the excitement of this live race screen you are almost to scared to zoom in or change as you might just miss some action on track.
This is only a suggestion.

In the dot mode the border blinks when you have worn tyres and is red (maybe I could change it to orange for better visibility) with technical problem. There is no indicator for being lapped, but that can usually be determined by the dot's position number. I think it would get quite crowded if everyone had different flags.
In the car mode the tech problem should be well visible, but admittedly the bad tyres are not so.

Yesterday, watching the race I experienced lap number freeze. I saw I was on lap number 66 and accidentally I pushed the button scrolling forward. After refreshing I saw I`m on lap number 68 in totally different part of the track.
Is it normal or some kind of bug?

In the time difference ranking, behind the managers name, everything is indicated, Bad tyres = [ B ] Technical problem = [ T ] Pit stop = [ Pit ]

The raceviewer sometimes falls slowly back a bit. Part of that may be that the javascript interval doesn't quite do things as often as it is supposed to. So I would suggest speeding the race up every now and then to catch up.

These pictures are phenomenal.
My greatest appreciation and thanks for it.

Hello guys. Will this new race screen be free to everyone or will it still require Supporter Credits when finished?

Just some thoughts
1► In the position tab when a driver has just been overtaken his name could turn red for a while when the overtaker turns green showing as well the number of laps gained or lost.
2►The B in the tab (bad tyres) could change collors accordingly to the number of laps it's running bad. e.g. ►bad laps 1 and 2=yellow; ►3 and 4 = orange; ►last ones = red.
I see the race screen as a graphic, so the more organized it is the more we can understand what's goin on.

Gustavo!
Without rhyme or reason.

Added failed overtake attempts to the tv mode, but now it shows mostly them. But I need to do the selecting system for them anyway, so it should get better.
Also there is now a separate tv mode button. But you still need to be in follow mode (with any car size) for it to do anything else than turning red.

Also adding to this, the jump to the end won't take you quite to live. Instead it takes you to the start of the latest lap*, while the live may be more forward.
*if you have been liveish within 2 minutes, and jump to the end, it just jumps to the start of the latest lap it knows, without requesting laps from the server (there would most likely be only max 1 more compared to what you have, so to save the server it's not done), so you may be 1-2 laps behind.
So always when you jump to the end, use the speed if you want to be sure that you are really live. The behaviour may change, but that's how it is so far.

Jukka, have you been thinking how to use the right side of the upper bar? Maybe the pits history, last lap time, difference to the leader, gap to the leader of the followed car??

Position gained/lost were already showed in the static race view..

Very useful the modify of the buttons at the bottom of the screen, the behaviour is now more clear. Even the problems I had found few days ago about skipping between cars were resolved. I think now the most useful change could be to make more visible the bad tyres in the "locate my car" visual.

There appears to be a lot of available space on the top right of the screen:
Would it be possible to change the status bar at the top of the screen for the fuel and tyres to go red when they hit low/critical and leave the tyre colour as is showing wobbly on the race screen.
Also would it be possible to include on the top of the screen beside these current status bars the driver energy in real-time ??
|
|
|
Show driver energy in real-time? Lol, good try but you are not going to have the energy info handed out on a plate like that :D
|
|

When will be free the new screen?
