Tema: Tyres (select a Dry compound (for the race) when Q1 is WET) |

I have a wet Q1 & Q2 and obviously want to use rain tyres in both sessions. I got a pop up telling me I must select a dry tyre in case the race became dry telling me that I would not be warned again. Does this mean that I must use a dry compound on a wet Q2?
Mod Edit: topic title amended for ease of reference.

Negative. It's only if the race is going to be dry.

It only means that you choose the compound what is used if it dries during race. You can drive Q2 with rain tyres (and you start with tyres that are used in Q2)

You'll have 3 options in your race strategy page: At the start: Rain or Dry tyres. When it rains: Rain or Dry tyres. When the track is dry: Rain or Dry tyres.
The message that you are being prompted about refers to the compound of Dry tyre that you would choose to use if you've selected to race any part of the race on a Dry tyre. You have to choose this tyre at the time you choose to conduct your Q1 lap. There are certain circumstances where it can pay to be on the wrong tyres for the current weather. ;)

Many thaks to all who pointed me in the right direction. I am not 100% sure, but I don't think this is properly covered in Q & A least ways I could not see it, so many thanks once again

Do you really think that here you'll get other answer than in other thread? :-)
