Nice one :)
Well, comic room gave me TWO protections for the upcoming night... and Gordon, how many would I have got if Michael did target me? :)
|
|
|
Vlado got an extra ability too. He got to recruit a new mason - 0% chance of succeeding if mafia (I assume he meant scum), 50% chance if town. It worked. He recruited me, but game was pretty much over already anyway.

Quote ( Kevin Parkinson @ November 18th 2012,13:14:45 ) Can we have a list of night actions when you get time, Gordon?
Yep i want to know if someone made an attack on me.

Quote ( Gordon Ashford @ November 18th 2012,11:59:54 ) N3 - Jailed Matthew (mafia) - BLocked Kill attempt (would have failed anyway)
So why was there a kill on night 3? Tero was dead so where did the other kill come from?

town won, yay, me day-killed... damn... still, well done the rest of you. and I guess personal suspicions early on of kevin were dead wrong.

Thanks Gordon for hosting this game.
Good win for town only one mislynch (and it had to be me).
Well I assume I made some serious blunders and Kevin was convinced I was scum

Thanks for the game Gordon.
I'm sure I posted that Neil was likely a survivor from his role claim. You townies, just don't listen :p
Pretty poor perfomance from me. I shouldn't have hammered Rusty on D1. That cost us at least one mis-lynch, and didn't do me any good in the long run. I assumed Jan (our best player!) would be back on D2, but he never appeared so got mod-killed. From then, I think the game was very likely lost, unless we could recruit (we couldn't). My claim was also stupid - I should have claimed something completely different and forced the group to try and guess who was controlling Tim through lynches.
Well done town and Neil. I do worry about the power of roles in these sort of games (for both sides). It felt like it was just a game of dot-to-dot the last few days when everyone had claimed.

Wasn't totally convinced, but pretty confident. I was wrong :(

In hindsight you can say that, but, as you say, you didn't know Jan wouldn't be back, and you weren't to know what Jack was going to do in getting himself lynched and claiming something you had caused. Hammering Rusty at the time was probably the right play, and it did, at least for me, mean you were way down my suspicion list for most of the early days.
If you hadn't hammered and Rusty had been lynched the following day, you would have immediately have been under suspicion for not hammering.
I certainly wouldn't criticise that part of your play.

Good to be on the winning team. It was nice to end up targeting scum every night even though some of them, Jack in particular, was down to luck.
Quote ( Kevin Parkinson @ November 18th 2012,12:01:46 ) Still not used my towel :p
So what exactly does it do?

For me at least, it was more a case of not caring. A survivor does the town no harm in a situation like this.

It was a 1-shot bulletproof :)

Yeh admittedly it appeared to went down smooth for town after Rusty's lynch and Jan's modkill. Who knows what would happen if he lived i.e. appeared. :)
Great play by Mikko, and Kevin too I suppose, even tho he was suspicious at time. But I guess it's part of closed setup :)
Yep, my ability- FINALLY - first ever to be used by me in a mafia game was successful, but game went no further so good game everyone, especially town and Neil I suppose :P :)
Thanks Gordon, you're almost always there, and prompt with your room updates :P ^^

It did end up an easy win for town, but I'm not sure if that can be attributed to the setup. Jan had a powerful scum role that wasn't taken advantage of and there were also other abilities that the mafia didn't use properly. Having the godfather do the second night kill seems like a strange decision to me.

Quote ( Kevin Parkinson @ November 18th 2012,12:19:36 ) When did he use that ability? And did he pick all four names?
Neil, why the names you picked?
I used it about the time Tero reached L-1, so if Gordon had dragged his feet any longer we would have lynched the SK D2
He was pretty obv a SK, so it was in my best interest to keep him alive for another night encase he managed to get another kill off.
Barring your name (Kevin), the others picked were just random. Just wanted to see the furor when Tero got away with it and see if anyone would run up a wagon on you for giggles. Didnt give a monkeys about alignments.
D1 - NEW YORK - NO PLAYERS BENEFIT
D2 - BEACH - NEIL (lynch choices) & KEVIN (towel)
D3 - VIDEO GAME - GARY (dead) & MATTHEW (dbl night action {blocked})
D4 - CONCERT - RUSTY (dead) & MICHAEL (skip night phase)
D5 - SPACESHIP - NO PLAYERS BENEFIT
D6 - CARTOON/COMIC - VLADO (mason recruit) & TIM (dbl protection)
I got told the names only, the actions I had to wait to find out in thread.

Quote ( Daryl Gee @ November 18th 2012,13:00:08 ) Thanks Gordon. (And thanks mafia for saving me from playing some seemingly horrible game days.)
No problem, if you read our QT I was the one who called for your kill :)

GG Town :)
Absolutely my worst game, with best role ever :(
Poor decisions and a bit of bad luck sealed my fate.

well, it could have gone the other way, Tero nearly picked Jan to be killed instead :)
Quote ( Tim-Oliver Wagner @ November 18th 2012,13:17:10 ) and Gordon, how many would I have got if Michael did target me? :)
Three, normal ability, motivated via Michael, room bonus.
Quote ( Mikko Harju @ November 18th 2012,16:25:17 ) Having the godfather do the second night kill seems like a strange decision to me.
Each mafia had to perform one kill (or try to) before anyone could do a second kill. The night Matthew was blocked, he was performing the extra kill from the room ability and Jack the 'normal' kill.
Had the Arctic room been selected (whilst Jack was alive) them mafia would have got a free recruit as well.
Quote ( Mikko Harju @ November 18th 2012,16:25:17 ) It did end up an easy win for town, but I'm not sure if that can be attributed to the setup.
Role Madness games (as this is usually called it seems) are difficult to balance. With the Jan modkill and the early lynches it was going to be hard for mafia to win. Had Rusty survived day 1 how different could the game have progressed.....

Good game town. It was a shame that there was the modkill and whatnot, but even though it ended up a relatively easy win, i'm fairly sure I pinned everyone as mafia at some point ;p.
Pretty happy with my voting play, dont think I ever actually voted a townie. Can't complain about that really.
